Chryed - Info and Fanart

Here I am, at last.
It has not been an easy year, but I can’t complain, really.
After starting to lurk around a little bit, I can finally have the time to post something on my own LJ.
In June, I missed my usual slash babies so much that I went in search of some youtube videos about them. I started with my beloved Aragolas (Aragorn/Legolas), then Janto (I miss Ianto so much!) and I found some Christian/Olie that caught my attention (they were kissing, I mean, really kissing, no manip; can you blame me?). I track down their story and found out they are Christian and Oliver, from a german soap-opera called Verbotene Liebe (Forbidden Love), they started as friends developing a long lasting love so far. Christian is good looking and I really like him, but Ollie is a little… how should I say in English,… a little ‘too much’ sensitive and spoiled.
Finding another Christian with a sweet, lovely, gorgeous man I found my new obsession: Christian Clarke and Syed Masood from the British soap-opera Eastenders.
This is the first post about the canon pairing known to us, fans, as Chryed.

The pair bond at work and quickly fall for each other, but Syed's religion and family values makes him reject Christian's love.
When they are introduced, Syed says his own name and Christian also does the same to what Syed answers “Muslim”, as ‘Christian’ means both the name and the religion person, lol. I found it very amusing (I’m Christian too, lol).
I made a tiny resume with info from BBC Eastenders site and Wikipedia. Links are at the end.

Christian Clarke

Eyes: Green
Hair: Dark blond
Height: 1,86m (6' 1" )
Date of birth - 15 June 1972
Home - 15a Turpin Road
Occupation - Barman, caterer, personal trainer
First appearance: 17.01.2008

Christian ‘kiss-my-guns’ Clarke is an irrepressible flirt with the biceps of a god, and an innate inability to live a quiet life. Until he meets Syed. ^.^
His put-downs are legendary, but although he has a brash exterior he is sensitive, generous and fiercely loyal. If you’re feeling down, he’ll take you out for the best night of your life and provide a shoulder to cry on in the taxi home.
Christian's a charmer, but has no qualms about telling people exactly what he thinks.

He falls head-over-heels for Syed, the only one he really wants to keep by his side. That love brings a lot of angst and pain (what else in a soap-opera, right? Lol) until he finally finds some happiness with his love (at least during July, let’s see what August brings them).

Syed Masood

Eyes: Hazel
Hair: Brown
Height: 1,75m (5' 9")
Date of birth - 16 April 1984
Home - 41 Albert Square (with his parents)
15a Turpin Road (with Christian)
Occupation - Property developer, caterer when working in his parents food business, the Masala Queen.

Syed is the older son to Masood Ahmed and Zainab Masood. He has a sister Shabnam, that left a couple of years ago, and two brothers, Tamwar and the baby Kamil, born this year.

When Syed Masood walked onto the Square, Walford’s ladies took notice - he’s good looking, suave and sophisticated.
Amira, his fiancee, is brought to Albert Square by his mother, Zainab, against his knowledge. Syed starts to get feelings for their friend Christian, to whom Amira confides about her wedding plans, and her intimate problems with Syed. Of course Christian is secretly willing Syed to leave her, after they discover that what they feel for each other is love and not just attraction.
Syed’s the apple of his mum’s eye. He wants to be a good son, and fears that if he were to reveal his true feelings, it would break his family in two - not to mention break Amira’s heart.
He married Amira Shah on New Years Day and after going on and off with Christian, he decides to tell Amira that he loves Christian, even though she’s pregnant. Yet he can’t do it, he cares about her very much and he postpone that decision. She tells him she’s not pregnant after taking a pregnancy test but she is indeed carrying his child when leaves Walford after discovering that her husband is gay and in love with their friend.
Syed keeps lying and fighting against his heart desire, until he realizes that his family cares more about tradition than about his truly welfare and happiness. He even goes to a psychiatric (of some sort) that tells him he can cure him from his homosexually feelings. He goes to Christian and leaves his family to go for the love he wants.

Now, they are living together and their happiness is only darkened from his family rejection. Tamwar, his younger brother, is a great character and supports Syed since the very beginning.

The bigger picture is their first kiss (Syed kisses Christian in an impulse, starting that way their romance) and the other is their first kiss after Syed moves to Christian’s.

Pictures were screencaped by me from some videos I had the lucky to watch before they were removed from youtube.

There's a community for them at chryed but you have to join to access most of the entries, mainly fics.
