I love how the title turned out :) I've been having some scanning difficulties for everything (don't have one, been using a combination of my phone, not crisp enough, and the Zeta Book Scanner at the library, SATURATION SO MUCH SATURATION VARIATION WHYYYYYYYYYY), so while the colors aren't as spot on as I'd like, this is probably the best version of this picture I have :) I had such a stark image in my brain of this, the bottle of whiskey and the cigarettes on the nightstand, that I knew I had to draw it! I wish I had done a few things differently with the line art, but over all? I'm really pleased with this.
This picture... Has a sister picture that goes with it. The lineart for both was pretty fucking awesome, if I do say so myself. But then... I colored it. And my computer isn't working with my art equipment, so I did it. In real time. With watercolor. And I kind of fucked it up a lot.
So I waited until I went down to my mother's, grabbed my lightbox and my pad of watercolor paper, and redrew the entire damn thing for both pictures, and this one is the only one that turned out, and then I couldn't get a good picture of it. I might reload it later, when I get access to a better scanner, and when I finally get the other one to look halfway decent, but for now, here it is!
I was really in love with the images in The Temporary Ambition of Generous Messiah, especially the images of Dean being tormented by memories, both the sad and the good, and the loss of memories. I really wanted to do it, but I don't think I did the image in my head justice xD
