Costumes for Sakura Con
For this coming Sakura Con April 6-8 I have decided to have three costumes for the three days....
PART 1: Jun Kurosu from Persona 2. I decided months ago that I'll be sewing the costume myself and the fabric will be coming in sometime next week. I set myself two months to do this, and I had been planning to do it by hand because I don't have a sewing machine, and two months would be enough time. I'd just order the rest of my costumes.
PART 2: Prince Siegfried from Princess Tutu. I love Princess Tutu and REALLY wanted to do this character. Unfortunately I didn't have time to make this in the two months I foolishly gave myself along with my Persona 2 costume so I tried to order it along with two other costumes for the Princess Tutu group. The price tag was too much, so I decided to drop it from the order and pray I can do both in two months.
PART 3: Princess Tutu from Princess Tutu. Okay, my sister was going to wear this when I wore Prince Siegfried, but I wanted to wear this for day 3 as well. This is where the shit gets evil. First, it took forever to find a place I could order this costume from. Then the price tag was about $550 per costume, which we got lowered to $375. Then my sister refused to let me take her measurements (I don't want to be near her boobs anymore than she wants me near them.) so I used mine and the rest of us would bitch at her to wear the costume. Next, my measurements were in cm and were wrong according to the company. So I remeasured in inches and sent it. Then they dropped the project.
So now, three costumes, two months, one woman, no sewing machine. I might cry.
