Mission Why-Ferals-Need-To-Be-Kept-On-Short-Leashes. Locked to captaine_sykes

The last mission Daken had been on was the one which had led him to Team X in the first place. He’d found his place in the organized chaos that made up the camp. Eventually he’d lost the restlessness that plagued him the first few months from lack of activity. Now that he was actually on one, it had all come back to him. Trained as the good assassin, it didn’t reflect in his face, but his body was much tenser than the usual lazy panther look about it. His hands were balled up into fists, unable to relax.

He briefly glanced over to Ethan, wondering what the Captain was thinking. They hadn’t spoken much on the plane ride that had landed them somewhere in Eastern Europe or on the jeep ride afterward. His mind was elsewhere, staying alert as it prepared for the task ahead. Daken tried to keep his emotions in check, hard as it was to lock away the burning desire for revenge on the ones who had caused his temporary weakness. It wouldn’t do for him to lose control at the wrong moment.

The facility which had been producing the infectious disease laid not too far off the main road outside a small town. It made sense, for having it too far out of the way would have made it impossible to get the necessary supplies. The landscape was completely flat surrounding it, punctuated only by the electric fence looping around the building. Guards patrolled the place in a robotically punctual schedule Daken watched it through a pair of binoculars. They were hidden by the barest line of scrub brush for the moment.

Looking towards Ethan again, he gave a tight smile as he popped his claws. “What’s the plan, Captain?”
