Most of the time, Emma was completely at ease. She got her tension headaches; usually caused by Sykes being a total nuisance and messing things up with his own stupidly good intentions, occasionally caused by the stress of over working. But a few headaches was nothing new. She'd been dealing with power related headaches since high school and frankly, she was more than over it these days.
Over the last day or so, she'd started to feel the steady build of another headache, but the one was accompanied by the harsh sting of nausea and a dull ache in her muscles. Emma wasn't exactly the most active or the most flexible or graceful of the team members, her skills in hand to hand were incredibly basic and her motivation to do more than simply keep herself in shape was frightfully low. She couldn't really see a reason why she should feel so out of sorts, beyond working herself too hard.
For the first time in months, Emma slowly pulled herself out of bed, showered and avoided the mess because even the smell of coffee was making her stomach roll. Rather than head to her office, where she spent more than three quarters of her time, Emma found a secluded spot on the grounds, the decent weather making it feasible to simply lounge for a while before heading to work.
Sitting on the grass was incredibly undignified, and at any other time she wouldn't bother, but she couldn't even force herself to mind as she sat out on the grass and tried to block anything out from her mind.
