Naked bitch in the building [OTA]

It probably was a normal day in the Mess Hall, at least until she walked in. She'd only just been written into the facility and had already made her way, wearing her usual birthday suit, straight to the most common area in the fort. She deliberately walked with an undeniable sense of pride and power, even though she'd downgraded from leading her ( Read more... )

Fortunately or unfortunately, the first person to approach Mystique was Martini. The disastrous trip to Spokane with his ersatz family had already been pushed into the back of his mind and nearly forgotten about. With something, or rather someone, shiny, new, and blue set in front of him, he focused entirely on the fascinating subject at hand.

"So here you are. You certainly took your time. I was beginning to think you would never show up." Chatting her up with a matter of fact air, Martini plopped down into a seat backwards and rested his arms on the back of the chair. He'd seen this one in his visions before. It was hard to forget a blue woman, especially one that figured so prominently in Rogue's past. He wondered if Rogue had connected the dots yet or if she was still trying to figure out the cryptic clues he had left for her.

Mystique was used to being stared at, though usually it was with fear or disgust.. never with such an inquisitive light. She tilts her head to the side when he starts talking, as if paying close attention to the exact way he words things. She's pretty much absorbing information from anyone who approaches her.. never knowing when she might need to suddenly be them.

"You were expecting me, then." She purses her lips. "Who told you I was coming?" The only thing putting her on a cautious edge right now is her lack of knowledge on the power's of the other mutants, and her natural born despotism wanting to know exactly what makes each other person in the fort tick. Not knowing how these people interact with Rogue was also a big factor into the way she viewed her so called team mates, so for now she's being pleasantly inquisitive.

"Oh, Them." He waved a hand around him towards the air. It had to be a new record for how soon Martini's craziness to crop up in a conversation. Usually it took a few more minutes before he started to talk to or tell people about things that weren't really there. "They told me you were coming weeks ago. But I kept it to myself. I couldn't be sure if it was really real or just in my head."

Martini's weirdness censor was much different than other people. A naked blue woman didn't even phase him, but when a section of his mind finally took a look at her time line and realized it was astoundingly long, it finally pinged that it was a little strange. "Whoa. You're old." Tactless, yet rude. A brilliant combination.

When he starts speaking about a collection of entities Mystique is certainly intrigues, especially considering the fact that they seemed to pre-empt her arrival in the fort. "How... quaint." That's all she really has to say for now about it.

However when he does make this comment she uncrosses her legs and puts both elbows on the table, leaning into him in an interrogative manner that you only pick up after days of severe questioning in some form of prison establishment. "And how exactly do you come to that conclusion, pretty boy? Last time I checked I keep my cells at a thirty year old level."

Nonplussed by Mystique's closeness, Martini cheerfully answered her question. "Well, most people only have this much time behind them." He held up two fingers, then three, indicating the past decades of a person's life. "But you have this much." He held up all ten fingers. "That adds up to a lot of time."

"But enough about you." He leaned back in his chair. "I haven't even introduced myself. Rude manners. Terrible thing to have. Pretty sure they were the downfall of Rome. I'm Martini." He held out a hand for her to shake, the wrist and arm covered in watches.

The amount of watches and talk of time lines just confirms Mystique's suspicions that this mutants powers were linked with either time or some form of clairvoyance. She reclines backwards slightly, then and reaches out her own partially scaled hand.

"Mystique." She has nothing to say about the quality of his manners, nor any reason to make him either an ally or enemy just yet, even with the power he's already exhibited, now the only thing she's interested in is information.

Martini smiled at the name, shaking her hand for a few moments too long. It made the exchange seem a little awkward before he finally released it. Such was the delayed reactions and mannerisms he had come to possess.

"So, Ms. Mystique," Mark said as he pulled a green apple out of a jacket pocket and bite into it with a loud Crunch! "What brings you to the humble abode you now find yourself in?"

She barely notices the elongated contact, it was probably significantly worse for him than it possible could be for herself. She frowns at the preifx.

"It's just Mystique." She then takes the time to morph into Emma Frost "I couldn't turn down the invitation." She morphs back again almost instantly, she just finds that most people find the odd quirk of becoming a different person, even for a moment, rather unsettling.

"Whoa." Mystique's power was one of the most visually stunning that Martini had ever seen. Watching someone transform into someone else was just not something the human brain was equipped to fully understand or process. He just stared at her for a moment before his brain caught up.

He was even more interested in her now than he had been before. "So can you change into anybody?"

"More than just that." However, unlike some mutants Mystique isn't quick to show off the intricacies of her power because that would just be giving away far too much information.

She smirks slightly, enjoying the fact that this new place might just be full of other impressionable mutants and she could do a little revolutionary work of her own.

"You are fast becoming one of the most interesting new people I have met recently." He propped his elbows on the table, his fists supporting his chin. Considering how he had managed to piss off Alice when he had been having one of his fits, this was going swimmingly. He was glad. It would do no good to anger someone who was a relative of Rogue so quickly.

"I hope you will stay a while, even though we've had such a horrible time of things recently. Everyone's minds are a little frazzled and I just can't seem to snap 'em out of it." Of course, what had happened in Spokane with Rogue absorbing Ric wasn't something easily forgotten, but for Martini it was already in the distant past.

"I like to think I'm one of the most interesting persons that people ever get to know." And she really is, at the end of the day if he can see all of her past lives he'll know that she's been around with her fingers in many pies for a good long time.

"Oh, I'm staying.. I have things that need doing before I can even consider leaving, not that I'll be much help in repairing these frazzled minds." She doesn't know anything about Rogue as of recently considering Mystique had led her go off of her own accord rather than constantly demanding to know what's going on in her life.
