Getting permission for the four of them to go to Spokane had been pretty easy considering that Ric could just ask Emma outright and getting there had been a quicker event thanks to a poker game in his favour and the debt being called in as a lift into town for them all. Wandering down West Main Avenue away from the Cyrus O'Leary's Restaurant (they'd chosen it because they'd advertised that there were "a little crazy" and someone in the group theorised that they'd all fit in just fine) Ric leafed through the visitors guide, immediately dismissing the waterparks because it was still far too cold. Despite what Martini said.
"According to this," Ric waved the information booklet to make his point. "You can explore one hundred acres of fun right in the heart of Downtown Spokane. Riverfront Park features year-round attractions including a Giant Screen IMAX Theatre, gondola skyride over the falls, a historic 1909 Looff Carrousel, ice skating in winter, mini-golf, amusement rides, pavilion restaurant, park tour train, and more family fun. Unless anyone has any better suggestions we could head there after a last bit of shopping? Or skip shopping and go straight to the park?"
As per Rogue's request they'd already stopped off before lunch and picked up some clothing and other bits and pieces with their money. Most of it was technically in keeping with the rules of the camp but Ric really wasn't all that worried. Especially seeing as he knew he could rely on Emma to bail him out if the good ol' Captain threw a hissy fit.
Ric twists and turns the booklet upside down and the right way up trying to get his bearings. It doesn't help that he's been flicking through the pages and lost where they exactly are. "The park is either this way," He gestures in one direction. "Or that way."
And promptly points in the opposite.
This is why Rogue has been brought along for the day trip too.
