Bitching up a Storm [ota]

It wasn't a common occurrence, not by a long shot, but once in a while, Mac really lost her shit with some people. Especially idiotic little grunts that got up in her space and pissed about with her stuff. Namely, in her garage, messing with her stuff, shooting the breeze and playing with car parts like they were pieces of lego ( Read more... )

The hollering and yelling is enough to get John's attention from where he's crossing the camp to head over to the gym after a round of external PT with the Captain. He's not hitting the gym though really, it's the pool that John is after but it's stil the same building.

Watching the young soldiers skulk away from Mac and the garage like they'd been reprimanded suitably John can't help but smile and chuckle, pausing in his stroll to call over to Mac.

"I'd pay to see you shove a carburettor anywhere like that Mac but I'm not sure the team or the Captain would appreciate it much." As much as he might be teasing John understands that those non-mutant soldiers can be rather over eager and push the limits at times. Hell John's seen enough camps to know some of the antics those kids can get up to.

Stalking over to pick up her ratchet, Mac threw a glare in the direction of her spectator before chilling out and recognising John. "I would make it fit, and boss man can kiss my ass. These little shits think my place just maintains itself? That piece of shit ruined five weeks work, one God damn slippery finger fucked up five weeks."

She was frustrated to hell and back about that.

Sighing, Mac rolled her shoulders, cracking the tension out of her upper spine. "Don't suppose I could pay you to teleport the little fucker to Utah could I?" Mac had a thing against Utah; it was a horrible place in her opinion. The stupid little kid would deserve Utah.

John is thankful that he wasn't on the receiving end of Mac's glare for more than a few seconds because if looks could kill the entire camp was in trouble.

"I could teleport him, though I don't reckon the Captain or General would be too pleased. An' what have you got again Utah anyway?" Still he's wincing at the comment regarding the soldier's damage to Mac's work, John rolls up his sleeves. "I ain't much of a mechanic but I can pass tools an' fetch coffee if you'd like assistance of some sort. I know it ain't gonna reverse the damage but it's all I can offer... and if I mess it up any more I'll teleport the kid to Utah."

"Utah is a piece of shit, have you ever been to Utah? Do you plan on ever visiting Utah? Have you ever woke up and thought, 'Hey, I hear Utah's nice this time of year, lets check it out?' No. You wanna know why? It sucks." Mac may or may not have dated a piece of shit asshole from Utah at one point in her University life, and she may or may not hold that against the whole state.

"You know the difference between a crowbar and a screwdriver? Because if you do, you pass the test and you can come and help." For some reason, people seemed to think Mac could live on air alone and that her garage needed to have twelve cars, a jeep and part of an aeroplane crammed inside before she'd have enough work for the day.

"Mind your toes though."

"Based on that recommendation alone I'll avoid Utah ma'am." John might well be teasing just a little bit, clearly Mac holds some hefty grudge against the state of Utah and he ain't about to question further. Especially not when Mac's got a ratchet in her hand and seems the type willing to use it for fun.

"I can sure as hell tell the difference between those two an' can get you a Robertson, a Pozidriv, a Mortorq or a Torq-set without havin' to ask you to describe which is which to me too. Though beyond that I get myself a little lot." John knew that more often than not the military asked and expected more than people could offer. He'd seen from afar that Mac spent most of her days holed up in the garage and working hard.

"Lead the way."
