Did Wade really give a shit if Rictor or anyone else didn't think he could kill without his swords? No. Did he care if they thought his 'ability' was lame in comparison to their demigod-like awesomeness? No. Did Wade Wilson really give a flying fuck what anyone thought or said at all, much less about him? No. The answer was no, and a thousand times ( Read more... )

It wasn't that Rictor was weak, and his power couldn't be used to an advantage. It was he was too fucking stupid--in Wade's eyes of course. Wade was a hot mess of problems. But when it came to fighting, he was disciplined, and eye on the ball. The mocking, the laughter, it was a mask. And it always worked so well.

Getting thrown into Ric's attack honestly wasn't what Wade was expecting, but surprising enough. The hook was easy to see, and easily blocked, but the shoulder to his chest was unavoidable after blocking. Not bad.

But after Wade got his break from the knock, he grabbed Rictor roughly by his shoulders and pulled him into his knee. Leaving no room for time in between he brought up his fist and uppercut Ric under the jaw. Should he stumble that would be ample for the side kick that Wade dealt to knock him right to the solar plexus.

It wasn't as fast as he could go. It wasn't as hard as he could hit, but it would be enough to hurt. Wade could have kept going--hitting, and kicking, tossing Rictor into a goddamn heap. But he wasn't going for the quick kill. He was going to enjoy this, and breaking Ric down slowly, so he could enjoy his pain.

Like Wade had predicted with his execution the knee brought Ric teetering forward and unable to block the fist to his jaw. The blow was enough to make his teeth clatter together and for Ric to see stars momentarily as he staggered. Now way was there that Ric could block the blow to his solar plexus which sent him careening backwards to hit the ground hard.

Winded and in pain Ric felt the beack of his head hit the earth; he went to roll away before Wade could get on him but having the breath knocked out of him simply meant the effort of a full three-sixty turn was too much. Instead the Mexican rolled onto his front and spat blood out as he tried to heave in a air to his lungs.

Scrabbling to his knees Ric coughed and spluttered for the moment too disorientated to pay attention to where and what WAde was doing.

It had all happened in slow motion, seemingly, to the mercenary. He had to force himself not to go after his opponent in a continuous fit of attacks. Not yet.

But this had nothing to do with the fact that he was giving Rictor a chance to compose himself, or breathe. He wasn't done fighting yet. Things were much more fun if he was in some kind of danger--or at least he got a little dirty or bloody.

Crossing his arms, Wade rolled his eyes at the sputtering Ric before yelling at him. "C'mon Ric, that can't be all you've got. Throw a rock at me, hit me harder, something! Don't be afraid to kick my ass.

Pretend...this is a fight to the death. Winner gets to live. I know you don't want to die, Ric. So get your ass up and kill me!" Perhaps a bit much but this was Wade. If anyone thought he wasn't the least bit of a Sadist or a Masochist, they were severely mistaken.

Thankful for the moment to catch his breath back, despite whether Wade was being kind enough to give it to him for more malicious reasons, Ric played on with the being kicked to the curb routine. He was trying to ignore the goading but it was hard, not when Wade was going on and on at him either.

Curling his fingers in the dirt, Ric positions his body so he can turn quickly flinging the handful of dirt and rocks into Wade's face on the tail end of his and kill me comment. In a similar move to before Ric swings his leg around in a low roundhouse kick, bringing his shin around to connect with the side of Wade's legs as he violently shakes the earth directly beneath their feet.

If Wade hits the ground then Ric will move in to try and pin him or at least land a few more punches. If not then Ric will try to tip Wade off of his feet and keep him off balance and get in a few moves then.

Oh. Playing dirty--Wade liked that, even as he grit his teeth, instinctively pulling his hands to his eyes in pain. The kick to the legs was enough to push him and the shake to the earth had him on the ground.

But he wasn't going down that easy, Ric. He quickly rolled over blindly. When he could feel Ric trying to pin him, he took to keeping the Mexican off of him. The best way to do that was to push his hand up into Rictor's face--specifically his palm, and right for his nose, quite forcefully.

Wade followed the boshikin to Ric's nose with a punch to...wherever it could land. His eyes were still squinted shut from the dirt. But if the punch did land it was definitely near his face.

It ws like trying to grab hold of a toddler, over-sized squirmy toddler or a greased pig. Especially when Wade rolled away before Ric could grab a hold of the guy, he did however manage to get close enough to lean across and... the blow to his nose bloody well hurt! Ric instinctively ducked his head, eyes watering and nose throbbing in protest. He won't be surprised if it starts to bleed shortly. "Cabrón!"

The punch though glances across Ric's cheek, because of his ducked head, it still hurts, despite not having the full power behind it and in response Ric swings his own fist down to connect with Wade's cheek and jaw.

Ric uses the momentum to bring his elbow down to meet with Wade's stomach, not caring that they are scrabbling in the grass and fighting just plain dirty.

The punch to the cheek/jaw made Wade his, but he didn't stop putting up the front to get Ric the fuck off of him. Having an elbow in his stomach was pretty detrimental to that fact. The sudden loss of air in his lungs and pain to his stomach made him gasp. But it did allow the water in his eyes to run more freely, freeing up the dirt in his eyes.

Not waiting to catch his breath to come back to him the mercenary reached up to grab Ric's head and deal him a rough head butt to his head. It hurt, but it was worth it to possibly stun the Mexican. Following through he shoved his knee in between the two of them to kick off the pesky son of a bitch.

The head butt is just enough to disorientate Ric who is still trying to recover from the blow to his nose. Now his ears are ringing and his face hurts in all kinda of ways that he knows are going to leave bruises and obvious marks. But all is fair in love and war.

However the knee to his diaphragm is enough to make Ric roll off of Wade and dry-retch, smearing off blood and spittle from his face with the back off his hand. Ric looks like hell, cheek beginning to swell already and clothing covered in dirt and dust. Still it doesn't stop the Mexican from trying to grab at Wade's ankles and pin him down.

"Keep fucking still you slippery pig!"

Wade couldn't help but laugh at Rictor's request, answering him and his attempts to pin up down again with a kick to the face, and then another. It probably wasn't the best to try and pin someone by their ankles disoriented...

The merc didn't wait to pull his body up off of the ground and return to attacking his opponent. Fucking play time was over. Wade didn't hold back anything now, from his standing point he opted to kick Rictor while he was down, dropping down to pick up up by the shirt, only to meet the Mexican's face with his fist again.

"You really are fucking pathetic Ric. If I wanted a bar fight, I would have gone to the bar." To Ric's credit, Wade hadn't had a burly brawl in a good while. It still wasn't his favorite way of fighting.

Most of the time, nothing was happening, everything was quite and things were calm. Rogue liked those calm times because stress was at an all time low. But when she stepped out of the mess hall, took a look around and spotted two figures in the courtyard, well, that all went to hell in a hand basket.

At first it looked like two of the team training. Then it looked like one of the team beating the hell out of another. And then it looked like Ric getting his ass kicked by Wade.

Normally, Rogue liked Wade just fine; he was comical and adept and usually didn't bother her at all. Usually, Wade wasn't beating Rictor to a pulp.

Instead of running, Rogue pushed up off the ground to propel across the base faster, landing less than a foot away from Wade and Rictor, ending up just behind Wade. As Wade's arm came up from a punch, Rogue got a grab on his wrist and halted the motion while pulling just slightly. Enough to break Wade away from Ric.

"What in tarnation are y'all doin' now?" To say that Rogue was waiting for the 'he started it' would be an understatement, even as she swapped her glare between Wade and Ric, keeping herself between them just in case someone needed a proper asswhup from her.

To say that he was getting his ass kicked by Wade would really be an understatement right about now. Currently Ric was at Wade's mercy, too disorientated to block the blows to his face because of the fact he'd been kicked in the head twice by Wade and then received a boot to the gut for good measure.

When Rogue's actions broke Wade away from Ric it was just enough for the Mexican to tug backwards, breaking his shirt free of Wade's grasp. The motion also propelled Ric backwards so he landed flat on his ass, blood dripping from his nose and eye already swelling shut. To put it simply, Ric looked like he'd gone ten rounds.

Spitting blood onto the floor Ric smiled up at Rogue, teeth bloodied and face a mess. He might also have been wavering just a little bit from side to side. "It's a'right!"

The mercenary got so lost in the fight, he didn't even notice Rogue until she'd grabbed his hand and jerked him back from Ric. He blinked up at her and then back to the bloody pulp of a man he was kicking ass to. When Ric tugged away Wade gave Rogue a look that resembled one of a lion who'd lost their lunch. But he quickly fell into a calm demeanor as easily as he'd turned into the brutal killer.

Standing to his feet he turned his head to spit some blood from his mouth; snorting at Ric's comment. "Yeah, we were just working out a little understanding. No biggie." Wade wasn't scared of the southern woman, but he supposed the fight was done and over. Ric wasn't worth it.

Rogue's arms crossed over her chest, her glare only hardening. By this time, she'd gotten use to how the guys got sometimes, especially when things got tense to the point of fist fights. It only made sense that Ric was getting into trouble too.

"Workin' out y'r understandin' ain't meant to land him in a dentist chair." She loved her self-appointed brother, she really did. And Wade was decent -not exactly nice, but not exactly an utter ass like Victor. But she was pretty sure this was probably all Ric's fault. Sometimes the idiot just didn't know what he was saying and how bad he was being.

"How 'bout next time all y'all stop before the blood flow reaches two pints?"

Ric nods before pushing himself up off of the ground, wiping at the blood that is dripping from his nose and blinking lazily at Rogue. He knows that despite what he might well look like he'll be fine. The wounds are mostly superficial and even Ric wasn't stupid enough to believe that Wade hadn't been holding back from truly kicking Ric's ass from here back to Mexico.

Stumbling slightly, Ric manages to make it over to Rogue, reaching at to slug Wade on the shoulder playfully as he passes. "Better luck next time eh?"

Ric however has no inteion of their being a next time, one round against Wade and his fist is enough for Ric to be firmly assured that he doesn't want a repeat visit. Doesn't mean he won't still goad the guy and make stupid remarks. Leaning heavily on Rogue, possibly even using her as a sheidl between him and Wade the Mexican tries to clean up his face with his sleeve.

"It's meant to shut his fucking mouth--and it's fun, dentist or not." He argued lightly with Rogue, wiping some of the stray dirt from under his eyes.

Wade's eyes followed Ric's stumble all the way to the slug on his shoulder. But he didn't exactly take to that well. Quickly reaching out like the devil he was, he backhanded the poor Mexican before he could get back to Rogue.

But that wasn't going to keep the smile from his face. If only because of what he was going to say, which was not the least bit sarcastic. "Next time, I'll kill you." He wouldn't give him the chance to blink.

Even if Rogue wasn't fast enough to stop, what she could really only call, Wade's bitch slap to Ric, she was fast enough to stop Ric from falling flat on his ass. Catching him at the collar, Rogue practically man handled him into leaning on her again and carefully keeping her skin out of his reach so that nothing else happened to him.

"Wade, we all know Ric's a bit o' an ass, but really, could we avoid the brain damage?" Truthfully, she wanted to punch Wade in his smug face, but really, she couldn't go around sorting out all of Ric's idiotic fights like that. He'd get prissy and huffy when someone started commenting on the girl that fought all Ric's fights.

Even when the girl could outmatch anyone on the base by way of strength. It was still the same. "Why don't ya go put ice on y'r," normally she'd say face, or nose, or ribs or something that could've been damage, but then, "knuckles. Ah'm sure they're gonna be hurtin' sometime soon." From the state of Ric's face, it was fairly obvious he didn't come out of this fight very well.
