PLOT; marching orders
Looking over the sheet for the voluntary mission, Emma resisted the urge to sigh heavily. It was such a mishmash of people she wasn't sure just how this would go down at all. The attack meant she was severely out of sorts for options, and the fact that she had to launch some kind of counter strike so quickly meant that the options she did have were limited.
So, Allerdyce, Jones, Collins, Hughes, Wilson, Wraith and Hendley it was. If the team came back alive it would be a feat in accomplishment. If they completed their mission, it would be a miracle. Manila envelopes were sent to the rooms of each person; Emma took Haylie's personally since, well, since she'd gone to the room anyway.
Each one would find their mission statement on their bed, and be expected to suit up and move out at the designated time.
Transport leaves the base at 0600, be suited and ready for deployment. Enemy base is located in Newport, Oregon. Commute will be seven hours by truck, you will be dropped aprox. two miles from the target location and make your way by foot to the perimeter.
Designated teams are; Wilson, Jones, Hughes and Wraith for extraction, Hendley, Collins and Allerdyce for distraction. Deadly force is allowed but not required. Pick up will be at 1800 hrs; giving a five hour opening for mission completion. Operatives faced will be human but trained to resist and expect mutant attack -these are dangerous men, with dangerous ideals and plans.
Failure is not an option; the Captain must be retrieved at all costs.
Emma knew it was harsh, but Sykes knew enough and was too much of a risk to not retrieve. With everyone receiving their orders, Emma just had to wait for news on their status.
