"Dylan, what are you doing?" Raising an eyebrow Ethan reached down to pick up the stress ball, almost immediately starting to squeeze it in a claming manner to ensure he kept his mood in line. He was still recoving from the shit storm Mayspring had unleashed and so his nerves and moods were a little on the stretched side.

He wanted to ask what the Captain was doing there but the answer seemed pretty clear. He was checking up on the new guy and he didn't look particularly happy by what he found. "It's been pretty slow, Sir. I was just... I was just doing what I could to stay awake."

So far Ethan was only seeing the goofier side. "I see." Tossing the stress ball back at Dylan, the Captain settled with his arms crossed over his chest. "Just try not to be so noisy when there is a chance the General could come by, you hear me?"
"Now, how are you settling in?"

There was time left for proving himself. He just needed opportunity. Something he wouldn't find watching monitors and answering phones.
"I'm fine. Barracks are barracks. I haven't really met a whole lot of people yet though. None of the muties yet."

"The mutants on this team would prefer it if you took the time to learn their names, I'll ensure that a file is sent to you with photos and name allocations like all the members of the military team have been given. Have you encountered mutants before Dylan?"
Ethan hadn't quite had time to catch up on all the finer details regarding Dylan, he'd been too busy with everything else in camp.
