If she'd counted herself lucky about the flights, she counted herself unlucky about the state of accommodation. While Lorna's family weren't as rich as Miss Frost's, not by a long shot, she'd still been far more accustomed to much better things than this. She'd never shared a room in her life -she was an only child, her mother couldn't have kids and they never adopted more than her. She was fine with that; it meant no one was messing up her stuff.
But this, this place was beyond anything she'd imagined. And really, Lorna hadn't pegged Miss Frost for the kind to settle with this
"Am I in the right place?" She felt the need to ask herself the question, and while that was all well and good, Lorna entered the base with a sense of foreboding. It was highly possible that she'd completely messed this one up.
Since she even had to carry her own bag, Lorna set out with her guard man accompanying her towards what she would assume, because no one was telling her anything, was where she'd meet with Emma, or someone who was in charge, or a monkey. It was possible.
"So, love the look. Do you have a fall collection in a lighter shade of dull?" It was the forth time she'd made the attempt, and yet, not a single reaction. "Is this place filled with droids or are you fresh out the box?" Still nothing. "If I were to take my top off, would you blink?" Nothing.
Lorna was sure she'd entered the Twilight Zone. She was so going to be having words with Emma about this.
