Well now that she was part of the team, with Coach silver Fox at the helm Tabby’s bottomless pit of a stomach was demanding food, in a loud irritating manner. Following her instincts, and a few miss turns (one that led her into a closet) she manages to track down the kitchen. Eying the insanely high shelves Tabby narrows her eyes and looks for a ( Read more... )

Ophelia needed tea. Not just those stupid little bags of tea that people seemed so terribly fond of. She wanted proper, good tea. Like the kind she'd had while in England.

The kind she'd loved.

So, this meant opening up those little bags and getting some tea. With scissors in hand, Ophelia clumped her way loudly into the kitchen walking right past the blond on the counter before she stopped, tilted her head while thinking it through and backed up a few paces.

She was pretty sure, the last time she came in, there wasn't a blond on the counter. "New to kitchen or just to the camp, we're pretty sure we'd have noticed the stamp."

Tabby stops. Her constantly buzzing brain momentarily halting to process a train of thought as she hears the girl with bad ass hair going off like a fancy Dr.Seuss, wondering if she missed a game, and decides to play along.
"New to arrive...just glad I'm alive?"

The grin was a slow spread onto her face, just this casual quirk of the lips into a full blown manic grin. She did so like it when they tried to keep up, when they played along, her boys; Martini and Rictor, they were the only two who really participated.

"It's helpful to be, and a joy to see. Wouldn't want it any other way, at least now you get to stay." New people were an odd joy for Ophelia. While she wasn't exactly an easily social creature any more -the stigma of her blatant insanity rendering her a pariah at times, Ophelia enjoyed other people who were social.

They had a much sweeter buzz to their emotions.

And this one, she tasted distinctly like bubblegum.

Ooo Tabby likes this game despite her failure of rhyming skills in general. "Thanks very much, I hope we keep in touch? Name's Tabby people say I'm gabby."

Yes; this was a winner, for sure. "Ophelia be she, enchanted are we. Great friends wait and see, it's what we shall be."

She was easy to draw in, and easy to keep. Ophelia's only true need was an emotion to attach to, and unless dead, everyone had those.

Tabby gives her an adorable smile, "Can't wait, best new mate. What can you do, oh one with the bad ass do'?"
Her nose is scrunched as she forms the rhymes, but pulls up her hand to show Tabby she was asking about Phe's powers as three little marble sized bombs form into her palms.

The bombs captured Ophelia's attention for as long as it was really possible. She has to pause for a moment, the words organising in her head before she can utter them. Most of the time she can't make sense of her own powers. She doesn't call herself an empath, she doesn't really understand the label that goes with her abilities.

"Feels the feelings that you feel. Feels it hard and feels it real. Not just your own but ones before. Like looking past an old closed door. Catch a moment just attached, bring it back and have it matched. Both to know and understand, Ophelia's powers aren't that grand."

She was a brilliant morale boost when needed. Or a tinkering little trickster when the mood stuck. But beyond her initial orders, the trials, Ophelia's powers hadn't yet been utilised offensively.

Tabby tilts her head, still grinning as she lets the bombs go off in her hands like a fancy small flashbulb-not nearly enough to blind, only to show off as she works out Ophelia's answer.
"Boost of morale like a best, super pal?"

Nodding slightly, Ophelia grinned at the little flashes, she liked lights, and anything that dazzled really.

"It's a fun little run, no doubt without pout, a time honoured game to play without name."

Frankly, with Tabitha playing along with Ophelia as best she could, it counted her much further up Ophelia's favouritism scheme than even the longest of friends.

Her dimples are showing now, as she turns and dangles her feet off the counter, playing with a little box of tea that was sitting beside her.
"I like you, best of two me and you ole bugaboo ."

Staring at the tea -formulating plans really, Ophelia smirks in return, her own smile more devilish than anything else.

"Quite right, indeed, such friends to be. Although she's wondering now, can she have that tea?"

Tabby looks down in confusion for a second, not realizing she had grabbed the box-just needing something to play with before she nods happily and hands the tea to Ophelia.
"Tea may not be for me, but for Phe blessed be."

She took the tea with a smile, already planning a rather large tea-party for herself -so long as she could find a proper tea pot. "It's actually quite nice, she likes it with scones. Had it in England, they aren't mindless drones. It's a taste she's acquired, and one she'll keep. Coffee makes her jitter like a sad knowing sheep."

Tabby bends backwards and pulls out the large blue flowery teapot she had spotted when she first climbed up and hands it to Phe. "Coffee keeps Tabby ever so gabby, tea makes my stomach want to flee it just ever so isn't for me."
