Sensing A Change In The Air... (OTA)

Victor watched, curious, as he watched Stryker leaving the camp, his jeep disappearing from the front gate in a small cloud of dust. It wasn't like the Major to leave his team for any reason; the feral was well aware of Stryker's need to keep his precious mutants under his watchful eye at all times, and it didn't seem to fit that he'd be leaving ( Read more... )

Betsy had been stalking Stryker most of the morning. She woke up to the twittering of bits and pieces of dozens of thoughts and conversations. Sifting through them, she found what all the noise was about. Stryker was leaving.

This she had to see.

As that cloud of dust slowly disappeared, Betsy emerged from the shadows with a little smirk. Oh, this would be good.

Victor didn't miss Betsy's appearance as Stryker disappeared from the compound in a small cloud of dust. He still had unfinished business with the telepath, and now was as good a time as any to start thinking about when to make his move. He already knew from his experiences with Emma that trying to outwit a 'path was never an easy thing to do.

"You turned up for the show too, huh?" he muttered, glancing over at her.

Betsy glanced back with a smirk. "Miss the event of the season? Not on your life." Her gears were already turning with ideas in Stryker's absence. "Any idea how long he'll be gone?"

"You tell me, Little Miss Headfuck." He still wasn't exactly happy about Betsy being the most experienced telepath on the team now. Sure, there was still Cassie, but the young blonde hadn't fully grasped control of her powers yet. It was at times like this that he missed Emma more than ever. Biting back a snarl at the memory of his lover, he glared at Betsy and bared his fangs in her direction. "An' what's it t'you, anyways?"

Betsy watched him somewhat amused by his anger. For someone on a covert team the man seriously had no filter what-so-ever. "And thus ends the chit chat portion of today's program. This was nice. We'll have to do this again sometime." She teased conveniently avoiding all questions as she attempted to make her exit.

"Don't give me that bullshit. I ain't even started with you yet."

It wasn't quite a threat, but it wasn't exactly a throwaway comment, either. Victor still hadn't forgotten the fight he'd gotten into with Jack over a certain purple-haired woman, and much as he'd come to realise now that he missed Emma far more than he'd admit - which was partly why he was drawn to Betsy in the first place - he hated the way she seemed to act so casually around him.

His words made her stop and turn toward him.

She would be a liar if she said she was fine with him moving on to Gloria. Despite the fact that Betsy had refused him repeatedly, that didn't mean she didn't want the attention. She was the alpha female. She had to be the best, the most desired but so far the only attention she seemed to attract was Victor wanting to fuck her as a way of getting back at the telepath he was pining over and Jack continually rejecting her. HER! Oh and the both of them using their association with her as ammunition. That felt wonderful. The only thing keeping her from developing some sort of disorder was a very healthy ego.

He hadn't started with her? He couldn't be serious. One miserable shag with him and she's the slut of the century but Gloria fucks him on the regular and she gets her own bloody team! They were just lucky she didn't start picking people off one at a time. Risque? Really? What's the risk? Clamidia ( ... )
