At long last, the flight from Russia was finally over, and not a minute too soon. The team's plane touched down at Kadena Air Base at 1600 hours local time, and from there a small convey of jeeps were waiting to transport the squad to their new location, an installation attached to the US Military Base of Camp Courtney. The weather here was a far

Truth be told as old and clunky the Russian base may have been a ware on every one elses minds but Scion did enjoy it there. Even as cold and wet, Scion liked the snow. It was clean, innocent. Nice,
However now they were in Okinawa, Japan. As they stepped out of the plans and headed over to the jeeps X-13 could feel a warm breeze push through his bangs and welcome the team on to the islands humble beings.
HRrrrmmm.
When they arrived on the base Scion was quick to look around with his eyes but stayed rooted on the spot. However what caught his attention was the cliff that over looked the ocean. There was a fence covering it but Scion could still. It was confusing... how such a sight of the ocean could bring an unknown nostalgia to the man. The man cocked his head to the side slightly before fastening his hand tighter around the strap of his bag and headed over to the fence. Once there he dropped his bag to the ground, his hand lifting and threaded his fingers through the chain link fence, blue eyes staring out in to the ocean.
Why did such a sight bring him this odd feeling.. of comfort?

He romped around the open area once or twice. Mark stood still for a moment, ears pricked like a dog who had heard its master's whistle. There was a familiar whoosh and hiss, one that he hadn't heard for a very long time. Disappearing, Martini reappeared by the fence on the cliff. A true Californian, the sound of the ocean brought peace to a mind otherwise shattered. He stood there, carefully adjusting the time on each one of his watches. Japan was five hours ahead of Russia, and Mark wasn't about to make any mistakes.
He almost didn't notice the figure leaning against the fence, and was surprised to discover it was Julian. Scion, despite his usual stoic look, has a faraway look in his eyes. Martini had never seen him look that way before, and was loathe to disturb the other's peace, but his curiosity drove him to ask. "What're you staring at?"

"....The ocean." Scion replied, his arms falling down to his sides as he kept them stiff and rigid. He could see a bird skirting over the water searching for fish before flying high up in to the air. Blue eyes followed the bird watching it do a loop de loop before it flew up in to the clouds loosing Scions eye line.
Mouth being pressed in to a thin line X allowed his gaze to fall back on to the cool blue water, the sun light glistening over the glassy surface. The breeze tousled his hair a bit when he finally pulled his gaze away from the water and set it on his 'friend' Martini instead. "I was looking at the ocean."

He watched as the waves rolled in, one after the other, to finally crash onto the rocks far below. The glare coming off the water made Martini vow to steal the first pair of sunglasses he found, regardless of who they belonged to. He spoke without directly looking at Scion, an unconscious action. "The sea, it's good. I can look at it longer than most anything." It was one of the few things, along with the stars and mountains, that didn't change, not like the rest of his small, mixed-up world.

"It brings calm." He muttered , a flash in his memory of a mission where he had to drown a man in the sands of a waves. The man screamed, throwing his arms up as salt water splashed across the hunters face, the sound of gurgling as he choked on the wet sand and water and it filled his lungs. The smell of seaweed so strong as the body fell limp in to the water. Scions eyes fluttered slightly as he let his hand fall down from the fence.
"...Brings peace."

Had anyone seen Mark right then, they would have barely recognized the man. Usually, he was hyperactive to the point of being uncontrollable, with a slightly vague looking smile on his face, and a look of mischief dancing in his green eyes. Now, he looked quiet, pensive even as he thought of home. "Got that right," Martini muttered quietly.

So at peace.
The weapon grumbled as he turned away from the ocean picking up his bag once again, he slumped it over his shoulder looking back at the base.
"We should settle in with the rest of the team."

Before Mark could ask X just what was wrong, he had turned away and begun making his way back towards the base. The time-manipulating mutant just watched as Scion walked away, wondering if he should follow. He eventually decided to let Scion remain alone with his thoughts for now. Mark would find him later, and ask if he was doing okay.
