She nodded politely to Stryker and the others already seated before she found a seat near the back and took out a book from her personal belongings. Once again, it was just a little light reading. Modern Genetic Analysis: Integrating Genes and Genomes was one she had read before and the 800 page book was very familiar.
Still, it would keep her busy while on the flight, unless someone needed her attention.

Of course in the distance he spotted Hope and move a little more fervently to get to her. She was, in more ways than one, the light at the end of the tunnel.
"I don't know how you can read with the racket." He said none too lightly as he took a seat beside her, glancing over at what she was reading.

"I ignore it. A book is more interesting than Ric anyway."
Really, a few moments after beginning to read, she had forgotten all about Ric, his singing and everything else on the plane.
