Rude Awakening (For Angelo and Jessie, OTA later)
Jack was making the nightly patrol. It seemed like everyone was sleeping much more soundly now that Victor was locked away in the brig. It had been a quiet evening, but in the early hours of the morning that he discovered something quite unexpected. The door to Angelo and Toad's room was cracked open almost too small to be noticed. With the stealth of a born tracker, he went to investigate. What he found was Jessie, sleeping soundly in Angelo's arms. He observed the pair for a moment, face unreadable, before quietly slipping back out the door. The hunter was not long in returning.
His left arm, knuckles bandaged after his encounter with Victor, held a shotgun loosely in the crook of his elbow. As the two lay there sleeping, he raised it, cocking the shotgun. He none too gently poked Angelo with it. "Hi there. This is your wake-up call." For a man who wanted to fill his psuedo-daughter's boyfriend with buckshot, his voice was surprisingly calm.
