Lou was sitting in the mess hall, ignoring all the kids. She didn't do well with children. Regardless of whether they were usually adults or whatever. They were noisy, fussy and usually needed a permanent nap

Lou grinned at Des as she looked at the picture. "You should see Jane's apartment. I did his walls." She'd lived there when her parents divorced, and Jane had been ridiculously lenient with her 'vandalism' of his once upon a time white walls.
"Where is this coffee shop?" She doubted she'd need to be flown there after all of this. If Jane took retirement or discharge, well, she'd grab a place near him. And Jane? He'd so totally be near Des.
Louisa watched, thinking it over for a minute. "You ah, you want that heated up a bit?" People putting things like honey and jam in the fridge didn't make sense to her at all. But whatever, she drew on things.
She held out her hand in offering, her palm turning light pink as she heated it out. "We're based in Washington, but I think Jane's got plans to move." She offered, it was likely that Des would know why, "He likes to surf." But Lou would offer something else to pretend on.
With the bottle in hand, Louisa concentrated on just the contents, figuring that melted plastic wasn't a fabulous idea. When it was warm enough and back to liquid, she offered it back.
"You mean he didn't tell you?" Lou laughed slightly, smirking. "That's pretty classic Jane. He uses his last name for everything." Although she figured she was probably going to get shit for this later, it was still amusing.
"Our mom went kinda weird. I don't really know the story behind Jane's name but, my other brothers have boys names and...well, Jane's kinda like that Johnny Cash song."
Shrugging, Lou figured that Jane would've just gone with Worth around here anyway. "He answers to either. When he's with his Air Force buddies, it's always Worth."
Although she never called him that, only ever using Jane because, well, because that was his name. "You'd need to ask him what he'd rather use." And Louisa continued her doodling.
