*El had enjoyed her day in St Petersburg, she'd had a good conversation with Asher and had picked up a few (very delicious) chocolate bars. With two stashed in her pocket, she went in search of Talia, who'd she'd discovered wasn't in her room, or the Red room, so the next place to check was the mess.

And that's where she found her.*

Hi, Talia.

*Talia looked up from her hands to El who was walking through the doors to the mess halls.*

Hey. *Talia tried to give a smile, but it faltered. She hoped that El wouldn't pick up on it.*

*El noticed something was wrong instantly. Talia didn't seem her usual cheery self. She moved to sit opposite Talia, her hand resting on the table in front of her.*

What's wrong?

*Talia moved her hands away from the table and placed them on her lap.*

Nothing. *Talia shook her head, trying to force a realistic smile.* Just... don't worry. I'll be fine

*El reached into her pocket and pulled out the chocolate bars.*

Here. Chocolate makes everyone feel better.

*She handed one over.*

I went looking for you in your room. What happened to your sheets?

*Mutation troubles perhaps?*

*Talia smiled slightly at this.*

Thank you. *Talia reached cautiously towards the chocolate bar. Still not sure what had caused her mutation to kick in and she didn't want it to burn El. Talia looked down towards the floor at the mention of her sheets.*

My mutation happened.

I take it, it wasn't planned?

*She frowned, looking at her friend.*

Talia, accidents happen. Nobody here is going to judge, everyone had issues with their powers at sometime. There's no reason to be ashamed of it.

*El hoped she was right on that. Why else would she have been hesitant to tell El?*

It wasn't planned. I wasn't upset. I was reading. I don't know what happened.

*Talia felt tears well up, wiping them away quickly before they could fall.*

Accidents may happen, but when it could hurt someone, there is every reason to be ashamed of it.

Nobody got hurt right?

*At Talia's nod she continued.*

So its okay this time, no reason to beat yourself up. I'm sure your mutations not the only one that could have hurt someone else. I mean, Pyro? Firestarter. I, myself, managed to hypnotise an entire audience.

*Talia sighed. She knew El was right, but she still felt terrible. *

What if I hurt someone the next time. I don't even know what triggered my mutation. It just happened. I can't control it, it could seriously damage someone.

You need to lose that attitude.

*She knew she sounded harsh, and it was partly intended.*

You have to focus on trying to get control. Go outside the perimeter and try and channel it. I'll help you. We'll figure it out.

[bitter_sweet_t]

*El's words sounded harsh, but she knew El was only trying to help her.*

Thanks, but you'd have to stand back. Far back. *Talia didn't want to hurt El. Talia shook her heads, trying to clear it of all thoughts.*

How was St. Petersburg?

I won't get hurt. I'll be careful.

*She smiled.*

It was good. Bought chocolate. A fair bit of. Just spent a little while with Asher.

*She knew Asher, hence she'd stuck by him, at least for the trip there and back.*

*Talia opened her forgotten chocolate that El had given her. A smile place on her face once she took a bite.*

Mmm. Haven't. Had. Chocolate. In. A. Long. While. *Talia said between small bites of chocolate.*

Thought you might like one.

*She smiled, opening her own and taking a bite.*

Its good. Although, I'm glad I'm not allergic to anything, because I can't read the labels.

*She laughed.*

It's probably a good thing to. *Talia laughed slightly.* Although it would be nice to know what they put in their chocolate over here.
