Since spraining her wrist from her fall off the van in the garage, Ophelia hadn't been able to do much of anything. What was worse was the new people. A rather excitable person and another more contained. And then someone else she hadn't been able to read properly.

Instead she was picking up too many scattered things from too many people. It was building in pressure and making her head hurt. To add to that, Miss Charlotte had lashed out, silly Miss Charlotte thought that Ophelia had forgotten her. It was Gertrude that made Miss Charlotte upset, which was the reason Gertrude was banished to the back of the foot locker.

Miss Charlotte wasn't easily appeased however, and as Ophelia made the attempt to soothe her, Miss Charlotte snapped. The string across the violin had sliced through Ophelia's already injured hand, leaving the girl with nasty laceration along the base of her hand, her pinky stiff from the tightening skin. She'd wrapped a cloth around it, but the blood had already soaked through.

So Ophelia took Miss Charlotte outside, hoping to help her feel better by giving her a look around. "You see, Miss C, not so much to do. Been wet and cold, around and through. It's nicer inside, where nothing can change. All the things that happen here are awful and so strange."
