*Laura's eyes were closed, her face was in her hands and her shoulders were shaking just slightly  She wasn't crying, hyperventilating. Nothing worrying. No. Laura Kinney was giggling silently, trying desperately to control her fit. As much as she didn't like the mutant hunter, she was glad that he was the one

*El had watched the older man knock out the red head and carry her towards the cargo bay. She had then noticed another woman, younger than herself it appeared trying to control her laughter. Moving towards her, she sat, keeping a respectable distance, as much as the plane would allow.*

I take it she's like that often?

*She hoped the woman knew she was referring to the red head.*

You would be correct. *Laura said to the woman, nodding slightly and still giggling a little bit.*

I do not usually have an opinion of people. Not one that I think is worth voicing....but she is annoying.

I wouldn't know. Haven't met her myself.

*She offered a smile, but not her hand, still wary of passing along the flu bug she had.*

*Laura looked at the woman a moment, sniffing the air ever so subtly. She wasn't sure what to make of this woman so she was silent for a moment, her emotions vanishing from her face.*

Designation X23.

*She paused for a moment.* My friends call me Laura.

It's nice to meet you.

*She fidgeted unconsciously with the gun strapped to her thigh, unsure about the sudden disappearance of emotions on Laura's face. She was unaware of whether or not she was meant to refer to her as X23, but she wasn't sure she really wanted to, the number seeming rather... impersonal.*

*Laura watched El a moment, frowning just slightly. She hated when people did that. There was no reason for it. Laura was not threatening her.*

You are nervous.

*Statement. Not a question.*

I'm just... unsure as to why you gave me a number to call you first? Why not just 'Laura'?

*She hoped she didn't offend Laura by asking, but she was curious.*

X23 was what I was called first.

*Laura watched out the window for a moment, not looking at El as she spoke again.* 'Laura' is only something I obtained recently.

[silverhypnosis]

*Now El was confused.*

I don't mean to be rude, but why? Why X23?

*She shook her head.*

I'm sorry, it's none of my business.

*She wanted to know, but it was not her place to push the matter.*

*Laura didn't say much past that. Not just yet. She wanted to see El's reaction to the news. That was always entertaining.*

*El sat up a little straighter. That was not at all what she had been expecting.*

Oh. Well, then. It makes sense I suppose.

*She had no idea what to say. She didn't bother keeping the surprise off her face, something telling her Laura would know either way.*

Would you rather be called X23 or Laura?

*Laura turned to face El, her head tilting just slightly at her words. She was used to that reaction so it didn't matter to her one bit. She had to consider her question carefully, a small pursing of the lips as she considered.*

I prefer Laura. Why does what I said make sense?

Well, then. Can I ask what your abilities are, Laura?

*She was curious; not because Laura was a clone, but because if she was supposed to work with these people it made sense to know what they could do.*

*Without so much as blinking, Laura rattled off her abilities.*

Rapid healing. This includes virtual immunity to poisons, most drugs and enhanced resistance to diseases and the fatigue toxins the human body generates.

Enhanced endurance, strength, agility and reflexes. Superhuman senses. And claws sheathed in my arms and feet.

Well, at least you won't catch my cold, then.

*She offered a smile.*

*A cold. Okay. That was what the difference in her voice was. She couldn't place it.*

You should speak with Molly. She had a cold recently. She still has medication from Eva. It was quite effective.
