If you're lucky, your parents give you endless support and encouragement. Unfortunately, for most of us, the nagging is endless. So many mums and dads seem to feel put upon for spawning someone who's less than perfect and give you a hard time.
This could be worse if your parents are high flying doctors, lawyers, etc. I don't know. My mum's umenployed too. While she often does empathize, she often radiates disappointment as well, which bubbles up and explodes in a torrent of personal abuse. My tongue's sore from having to bite back the line, "My life my be shit, but at least it's not yours!"
