Looking for a specific Job? Ideas:
These are a list of ideas I was given by my career counselor just before I graduated from college.
* Grab a local phone book. Look up various local companies that may be, even slightly distantly, related to your preferred field of work.
* Research them through you local business bureau and get an idea of how they are doing as a company.
* See if they have a website. Most companies will post jobs on their websites and not anywhere else!
* Call them and inquire if they are hiring and what for. Make a list of this.
~
* Go visit the websites, if they have one, of businesses that are in your range.
* Dig around to see what they may need.
* Find out where they are located and if they allow tele-commuting, moving assistance (known as relocation assistance), or if they only hire locally to their business and how far away they allow for. (Some companies don't like people who travel more then an hour.)
* Dig up what they require and what they'd like. Sometimes you can get away with not having a specific requirement IF you cover most to all of the preferred "optional" skills. (Don't always count on it, but it's feasible).
* Do this for every company.
* Make a booklet with printouts of the company's goals, mission statement, and job board.
* Give the main contact a call and find out more about what the company is up to and if they are hiring.

I hope this helps! :) I'm going to have to re do this myself.
