Help! Job Interview Tomorrow

Mar 08, 2010 10:19

I have a job interview tomorrow which I am super nervous about, because I really want it, as opposed to just simply needing it. It's a Grant Writing/Communications position at an agency serving blind people. I feel like I would be a shoe-in, because I worked at The Lighthouse for the Blind doing development/fundraising for nearly 3 years, but with the NY job marketing being uber-competitive and cut-throat, I'm worried it's not substantial enough.
Any tips/advice about impressing prospective employers during interviews? I always get the impression that I'm likable and qualified, but not enough to actually land the job. Should I focus my answers on emphasizing my experience with blind and Deaf-Blind people, or would that be too redundant?
Also I don't have that much grant writing experience (I've written 2 grants for very small amounts) or experience with corporate communications - both of which are listed as requirements in the job ad - and I'm worried how I'll field that question should it arise.
Any advice/help is much appreciated!
