End of Unemployment Year

Hello Everyone,

I tried to find this in the archives, but I might have missed it. Just point me to it if I did. However, I was wondering what happens when your unemployment year is over? Mine is coming up in March, however due to some (very) random work here and there (a little free lance, an odd job, and a recent stint of seasonal retail work) I still have some of my benefit weeks left to go. My questions is what happens to extended/emergency and all of that when your benefit claim year is up? Does it just stop all together and that's that or does it keep riding out until you are done claiming/find an actual job?

As far as extended benefits, from what I can tell from the website it sounds like working, even though it was often for less than my actual unemployment amount, has in effect screwed me over and I will not even qualify for all the extensions I was supposed to get? Would this effect obtaining emergency benefits?

I'm in NY, and I am trying to get in touch with the UI office, but its proving impossible at the moment (I keep getting bumped out).

So if anyone has any advice of what to do when your benefit claim year ends, please let me know.

Thanks!
