I went to a job orientation tonight for a position that I am interested in. There are 4 spots open and 12 people showed up... so I figure I got about a 1 in 3 shot at this.
In the beginning we had to introduce ourselves. Out of the 12, only 3 were unemployed. (including myself) The other 9 already had jobs. And they were GOOD paying jobs that they had. Marketing directors, sales manager, dental hygienist, guidance counselor, etc.
I'm not saying necessarily that people with jobs already should be excluded, but it IS kind of annoying that with unemployment rates as high as they have been that some of these people are dissatisfied with their current jobs. I would kill (almost) for a good paying job right now and they simply want to hop from one to another.
Sorry if that came out the wrong way, but it's kind of frustrating.
