Emergency situation regarding Event 3
So, submissions are due in about ten minutes, and we don't have anything from our team yet. We've received an emergency extension from the admirals, and I am in the process of trying to work out how long we have. Unfortunately, daphnie_1 is on the other side of that pesky Atlantic Ocean, and will likely not receive my message until she wakes up in the morning.
One of two things will be happening now.
Option the First:
The admirals declare that the first submission we receive will be posted as our team's entry. If this ends up being the case, there will be no voting process; instead, I will continue to monitor the comm, and it's first come first serve.
Option the Second:
The admirals allow us enough of an extension to wait for multiple entries to be submitted. If this happens, we will be submitting our entry to the main comm by Saturday morning at the latest. The voting post will go up when I get home from work tomorrow night (that will be around 11 p.m. CDT, April 1st), and will remain open until I get up in the morning (around 9:30 a.m. CDT, April 2nd).
THIS IS THE SUPER-IMPORTANT PART; NOTE THE TRIPLE TAGS AND ALL CAPS: Watch this comm. If voting happens, like I said, it will happen FAST. This will be a BLITZ-VOTE. I really want to give everyone who worked on this event an equal chance, and I hope this option is the one that ends up happening. The admirals are already being extremely generous in offering us any extension at all, though, and I'm not going to push our luck. If voting does happen and you miss it, I am very, very sorry. However, at this point there's really nothing I can do.
