RULES
Snakes and Agiels Rules
For 4 to 8 players.
1. Before you start, put the tokens for each player into the 'start box' and shuffle the chance cards and put them on the 'chance cards' marker on the board.
2. Starting with the youngest player and moving chronologically to the oldest, roll the die in turn.
3. You must throw a six to be able to start. Once you have thrown a six, throw the die again in the same turn to determine how many squares your player token should move.
4. Counting starts at square 1. So throwing a four, for example, means that your player token will end up on square 4.
5. If your move finally ends on a square with a sword, you move up the arrow to the indicated square. It does not affect you if your throw moves you past that square, only if your turn ends there.
6. If your move finally ends on a square with an agiel, you must move down the arrow to the indicated square. It does not affect you if your throw moves you past that square, only if your turn ends there.
7. If you land on a chance card square, you must pull a chance card from the top of the pile of chance cards and follow its instructions. It does not affect you if your throw moves you past that square, only if your turn ends there.
8. Keep throwing the die in turn until you reach the end of the board. The end of the board acts as square 76.
9. You must throw the exact number required to get you to the finish line. So if, for example, you are on square 72, you can only move if you throw a 4 (taking you to 76) or less. In this example, 5 and 6 would take you past the finish line and therefore you cannot move and must remain on the same square until you try again on your next throw.
10. First player to make it to the finish square wins.

We made four counters to start with, but more could be added if you have more players. You'd also need a standard die.
