name: Becca
country: USA
troupe loyalty: Traditionally it was always Tsuki. But about halfway through 2008 I realized that 1) nothing could change the fact that I was head-over-heels in love with Sora's Hokushou Kairi, and 2) A very great deal of my favorite people were either transferring out of tsukigumi or retiring. (Well, there's more than that, but that's a completely different post ^^) So currently I'm more invested in Soragumi, but I still have a lot of fondness for Tsukigumi.
favourite musumeyaku top star(s): To be frank I'm not particularly wild about any of the current tops -_- There are some that I like more than others, but I wouldn't call any of them a "favorite."
favourite musumeyaku non-top star(s): For current seito, I like Hanakage Arisu, Ootsuki Sayu, Sumireno Rei, and Fujisaki Eri. Of the non-star track types, I like Mikaze Maira, Miho Keiko, and Sakura Ichika.
favourite musumeyaku OGs: Of the OGs, I particularly like: Shirahane Yuri and Hizuki Hana, but also Ayano Kanami, Dan Rei, and Toono Asuka. The more I see of Maikaze Rira the more I like her. I'm not as crazy about Hanafusa Mari as some, but I really respect her for everything she did. For non-tops, Shirosaki Ai, Kazune Miou, Takigawa Sueko, Natsukawa Yura, and Izumo Aya.
favourite leading musumeyaku role(s): Sally in Me and My Girl, Gilda in El Halcon, Lucia in The Second Life (a completely ridiculous show, but Lucia was a very strong-willed character), Paula in Seal of Roses, Anabelle in Silver Rose Chronicle, Marquise in Kimi wo Aishiteru, Katherine in Never Say Goodbye
favourite supporting musumeyaku role(s): Jackie in Me and My Girl, Cecily in Ernest in Love, Brenda in In Search of the Bluebird, La Roux in Scout, Juliette in El Halcon
role you would like to see a Takarazuka musumeyaku take on: What about adult Rudolph? That could be interesting.
favourite golden combi(s): Kiriya Hiromu/Shirosaki Ai, Hokushou Kairi/Kazune Miou
favourite heroine costume(s): I'm always a sucker for a backless red dress <3
favourite musumeyaku revue outfit(s): The black dress Hizuki Hana wore in the "Mars" number of Sora Fantasista
likes: Musumeyaku with spunk, upperclassman musumeyaku, glasses, musumeyaku in pants, blackless red dresses, anything that shows off musumeyaku's shoulder blades
pet peeve(s): I hope I'm not going to get in trouble for saying this, but young, green musumeyaku being promoted over their more experienced counterparts. Overly cutesy musumeyaku (although I realize what's considered "cutesy" is subjective)
a piece of good advice for Hankyuu: There are a lot of very good musumeyaku out there who are out of their shinko years. Please don't automatically eliminate them from the list of people to promote to top star ?
word is power: A truly ridiculous number of my favorite musumeyaku have retired in the last year or so, and now Ootsuki Sayu is also retiring. I'd like to find some other girls to fangirl. The problem is that now that I live in the US, I often can only buy the soragumi DVDs. I've gotten to like a lot of soragumisei this way, but I feel like I don't know the girls from other troupes.
