Summary: Set during the Revolutionary War. Merlin is an indentured servant who arrives in America in 1774 and is quickly swept up in the coming Revolution.
eosrose says: The author has certainly done her homework! One problem that often accompanies historical pieces is a lack of detail because the author doesn't feel that fan fiction deserve heavy research. This story doesn't have that. Perhaps there are historical inaccuracies that I did not notice, but just from looking at the notes it's easy to see that the author put a lot of work into coming up with a believable story based on very real facts surrounding the life and times of colonial peoples during the Revolutionary War.

Arthur wants something purebred and majestic. Merlin keeps herding him towards the misfit pets - the three-legged dogs and one-eyed cats. Cue adorableness.

eosrose says: Every other week Arthur seems to go through a whole new batch of disposable nights. This story puts a stop to that and lets us get to know the lovable men who follow Arthur in battle. A competition for Merlin's affection proves to be just the push Arthur needs to make his own feelings known and after that it's all sweetness, good humor, and enough drama to keep you on the edge of your seat. This became an instant favorite of mine even before it was ever finished.
katerina-black says: Besides how much I love the interactions between Merlin and Arthur, I love how strong and engaging the supporting cast is in this fic. I love the knights of Camelot and feel they deserve a greater part in the canon and fanon of this fandom. So awesome.
