Summary: As Newton's Third Law of Motion states: 'For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction'. For years the world of 'reality' has pushed away the ideas and creatures of magic, forcing them back. Now magic has returned bringing with it chaos and nightmares and the only person who can reunite the worlds of reality and the supernatural is the Once and Future King. However, Destiny has lost its way and a small group of complete strangers (or so they think), guided by a mad woman, are left to search for the only weapon that might save them. But without their memories to help them they're off the beaten track. Here there be dragons.
katerina-black says: This was an awesome modern adventure, where Merlin and Arthur have to struggle to come to terms with a destiny they can't remember, and the end of the world too! The whole thing is sort of desperate feeling, and there are a few really powerful moments. Did I mention zombies? Because I've been dying to use that tag.

Summary: Merlin is the King of Dyfed's magical ambassador and has to ask for Arthur's hand on behalf of his king.
eosrose says: Let it be known that I'm really, truly, and sincerely enjoying the stories being produced in the tobreakthespell fairy tale fest and this story is one of the exemplary reasons why. I really enjoy how Camelot is familiar, but changed and how easily the humour mixed with the romance to the point where we as the readers can easily divine Arthur’s problem with the situation while Merlin remains a clueless idiot. Ah, boys! Is saying what you feel really so hard?
katerina-black says: This wonderfully captured the feel of a fairytale, and also managed to recreate the dynamic of Merlin and Arthur's relationship without the established trust that we get in the series. The whole thing was really very fun, and very fluffy.

eosrose says: There's adorable and then there's drop-dead sugar-sweet with a dallop of happily ever after. This falls in the latter category. If you like the snapshot style of writing, you'll enjoy this.
katerina-black says: This was probably one of the first "classics" I read. And I was hooked from the image of Merlin as a small child covered in soot, and cranky as his mum washes him up. And then he enlarges his ears. And tons of other hilarious mixups. And Arthur seems to take it all in stride, though whether he knows about the magic or not is ambigous. ^_^
