Hey all. First comic behind the CUT, which was SO EASY TO MAKE OMG (the CUT, not the comic, the comic was actually challenging and time-consuming).

Haha, I don't know, but I remember sitting here when I was watching the episode and being like, "CAMERON, YOU ARE APPROACHING DISASTER. AVERT! AVERT! AWWWWWWWWWW. Oh, Cameron." So.

Um--IT'S A SECRET FORMULA. Actually, I just make a mask of whatever I want (like someone's body), make it an object, copy/paste the object into a new image, feather the image and blah blah so that it doesn't look all choppy and masky, open the new image in PSP (I didn't bother to learn how to mask things in PSP so I use a program I've had for much longer to do that? My process here is obviously in no way refined), do "Adjust" -> "Brightness and Contrast" -> "Threshold" and just adjust from there to get the "effect." From there I add text and draw in speech lines and that crap. There's also a lot of tricky resizing going on here--I don't like how PSP resizes things, to me it seems like it doesn't smooth the edges really well, so I resize using my other program. Also, I have to kind of select Foreman's face and make it lighter or he comes up as a giant black blob (PSP'S A LITTLE BIT RACIST???)

The "Threshold" thing is basically the same thing as converting to line art or to black and white, I think, if you don't have that specific option on whatever photo editing program you use. You might have to play around with contrast, brightness, and... I don't know, highlight/midtone/shadow. Also, you have no idea how many images I go to the trouble of masking only to have them look terrible when I convert them to black and white.

AND SO NOW THE ENTIRE WORLD KNOWS MY SECRETS. Good luck, and if you come up with anything neat, I'd like to see it.
