I am pimping myself out right now. Or more on point, I am pimping out a comm I set up for fans of the book Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon.
It's a favourite book of mine - most definately the book I've read most - and I think it's a shame that it's not more well known. So if you have read and want to discuss the characters of Daniel, Fermin, Julian or Nuria please join me :D

About the book:
Synopsis: A ten year old Daniel Sempere is bought one morning by his father to the mysterious Cemetery of Forgotten Books in the heart of Barcelona. There he finds a copy of Shadow of the Wind by one Julian Carax.
The story follows Daniel in his quest to find out more about the mysterious author Julian Carax. About his life and death in pre-civil war Barcelona. A life that so very closely resembles Daniels own life.
Comments: It is, hand on heart, the most gorgeous book I've read. Rich in atmosphere, character and imagery. A homage to Gothic literature and a love letter to Barcelona, the authors home town. It name you my favourite quotes or my favourite characters would take forever. There is such little gems throughout the entire book and it's something that stays with you for long after you've read it.
A tale of loneliness, love and redemption. It leaves you with a warm feeling as you close the book, even if you're wiping tears away with the other hand.
