This weekend has been fairly successful on my part. At least, I like to think so... Friday night I went into town and I picked up Krista and we went to Custom Creations to see if she could get her new tattoo, but the guy said he didn't have time to draw it up and then do it, so that sucked, but from what I've heard she got it yesterday instead, which is super cool. So we had no further plans, but we wanted to do something since I went into town and all, so we decided on Chinese Food and a movie.
We went to the Canton and had Chinese, which was yummy (as always) and then we went to the theatre to see Sin City at 9:10. Neither of us really knew what it was about, but it was at a good time, and we'd both heard only good things about it, so we decided to see it anyway. We got in just as the previews were going on, and the theatre was pretty full, so we ended up sitting in one of the front rows, which kinda sucked, but oh well. Just as the movie was about to start I saw somebody walk by who looked quite familliar. Turns out it was Sandra, who was sitting near the back of the theatre with Sarah and a few other people that I didn't see. I chatted with her a bit, and then with Sarah a bit, and it seemed like they were in for a fun filled night. The movie started as Sarah and Sandra left the theatre to get something, and they came back after missing the first of it and they went back to their seats.
The movie was quite good. It was very very well made, and I was impressed with it. But as neither of us had any clue what it was about, it was extremely weird... it was just... crazy. I would definately see it again, and in fact, I may have to do so in order to understand it more. It was just insane, but I still really liked it.
After that, I took Krista back to Kiki's and I went home, slept, and then Saturday afternoon I went to hang out with the girls who were on the trip to Guatemala with me. Jennifer, Abbie, Maddy, Rebecca, Emily and I. It's Maddy's birthday today, so we had a cake and a dinner at Jennifer's house and just hung out and stuff, and then afterward we took Maddy into down where we *planned* to take her for coffee at Timothy's, but it was closed. Our plans sort of backfired, so we ended up taking her for hot chocolate, and then going to value village. Which wasn't quite as we'd expected, but it was still pretty fun just hanging out and such. I took everybody home afterward and still got home at a decent hour, just hung around the house.
This morning I had church, and then I came home and watched Trainspotting, which was quite good. I'm slowly working my way through the movies Tyler and Jo-Jo have let me borrow. So far I've gotten through Requiem for a Dream and Trainspotting, and I have Go, and Donnie Darko left. I've been quite impressed so far, the first 2 were quite good. Very odd, but still very very good.
So that's my weekend! And I heard the most depressing news of all today, and that is some nonsense about snow either tomorrow or Tuesday... It's APRIL!! It's not supposed to snow in April... But hopefully there won't be much and it will disappear quickly so nice warm weather can follow quickly.
Happy Sunday!
