Cloud Nine - OTA

Nothing could kill her mood. Not the heavy gray clouds in the sky. Not the chill in the air. Not the mud on her boots or PT she had to run. As far as Angel was concerned it was the first day of spring. Ethan's kiss was fresh on her lips. She knew it wasn't likely to happen again any time soon. He wanted to take things slow. And by slow he meant glacial.

There was a lot at stake. He was the one that enforced the no fraternization rule so strongly. To pursue her was not only against the rules but he would be viewed as a hypocrite. Plus there was the added risk of people thinking Angel was seeking special treatment. No one in this group would believe that they weren't sleeping together. Everything always had to be seedy. Even wholesome things were given a perverse spin. If anyone knew about the heavy make-out session in his office, the rumors would be getting around faster than a cold outbreak.

It was really hard for her to care though. She knew she had a crush. A serious crush after going to Spokane with him but when he kissed her, the world exploded. It was passion like she'd never known it. Fire and heat so intense she was actually worried that she might not be able to go as slow as he wanted. Which was funny considering she'd been combating rumors of being frigid most of her adult life. Just the memory of that kiss was distracting enough to make the already clumsy girl bang into things and people more.

In fact, she didn't even see the person until she'd bumped into them and went stumbling backwards. "Oof! I'm sorry." She apologized before looking up.
