Rating/Warnings(if any): G/ None

"But what the hell does it do?" Eliot growled.

Hardison just shook his head, "What do you mean what does it do?" He pointed down at the keyboard. "Its a computer, it does whatever you want it to do." Stoking the keys he said, "You just have to know how to treat it."

Eliot eyed Hardison, "What do you mean you just have to know who to treat it? Its an inanimate object, it only has one function; do what I tell it to do!" He grabbed the keyboard and started tapping on the keys. Finally the football game popped up on the screen. "See! I treated it the way I treat everything else and it did exactly want I wanted." He leaned back and picked up his bear and began to watch the game.

Hardison just shook his head, "Hopeless man. You are are hopeless."

Prompt: 018. Lonesome
Rating/Warnings(if any): G/ None
Word Count: 188 without lyrics

As Eliot began to clean up the bar for the night a new song came on. They had music piped in from one of those satellite stations and Hardison always changed around to different music styles. For once Eliot was in total agreement of this one. As he picked up chairs and set them onto the tables he began to sing along, Elvis was always a classic.

♫"Are you lonesome tonight,
Do you miss me tonight?
Are you sorry we drifted apart?" ♫

♫Does your memory stray to a brighter summer day
When I kissed you and called you sweetheart?
Do the chairs in your parlor seem empty and bare?" ♫

♫Do you gaze at your doorstep and picture me there?
Is your heart filled with pain, shall I come back again?
Tell me dear, are you lonesome tonight?" ♫

He didn't realize he had stopped cleaning until the song was over and it was quiet again in the bar. He was closing up alone tonight and as he looked around he felt lonely for the firs time in a long time. As the words of the song came back to him he thought of Aimee. As he leaned against the bar he thought of that last day before he left her again. They had helped her Dad, got things back on track but yet again he had to leave her. He heart ached just a little as he remember her sweet face, soft lips and warm embrace. Am I lonesome tonight? He thought to himself. Oh yeah without a doubt.
