Since the Masquerade Ball, I still haven't cleaned my house. Why, you ask? Your costume's done! The party planning is done! Now is the time for catching up!
Well, not really. Actually I found out the day after the party that the boutique I had agreed to help with was in 2 weeks! Yikes! I had agreed to make Snurts (which I spell Snerts but I guess that's wrong and it doesn't really matter because its a shwah (sp?) sound anyway so who cares). I hadn't made any snerts yet - I had to get to work!
I made 35 Snurts for the boutique. They are little furry critters with eyes and noses. Some say they look like road kill. /grin/
Anyway, my family made a herd of other stuff. My dad made wood turned boxes, duck calls, fancy wood pens and wooden wine bottle corks. My mom made crowns with ribbons (for little girls to wear) and sachet packets (smelly) that can double as tree ornaments. My dad also made a herd of little birdhouse tree ornaments. My brother's girlfriend made home-made soaps. My sister is making some cool wooden snowmen, they have fancy wreaths for christmas and other stuff I don't even remember. If we don't sell it all I know what everyone's getting for Christmas. :)
So, you should come see the boutique. It's this Friday through Sunday, at the St. James Catholic Church in Ogden. (North Ogden? probably on the border.) 495 N. Harrison Blvd. November 11-12 10 am -8 pm, and November 13 9AM-3PM. There's also food by Javier's and Snider's. Should be good!
