I did an add request there. That's easier for me than adding here. My only local LJ friends are people I've known for a really long time. I get a little TOO personal on my LJ for non-community posts lol.

All good, I have a couple of filters that block out the really crazy personal stuff, you are welcome to browse about on my LJ if you like.
Quick random question, the Jules who lost her cat you refer to in one of your posts, that would not happen to be Julie Houtz would it?

Nope, Stoher and not local. Oh that was so sad, I felt so BAD for her!

Just testing the holy crap it's a small world factor, and it is terrible losing a pet, I have buried more family pets than I want to think about over the years, but the love they give is more than worth the pain you have to endure when they are gone.

Oh yeah, I always have pets. One of mine I have now (She's sleeping on my lap as I type this.) actually made it through with me when I was homeless. A friend's mother was willing to keep her on a screened porch for me.

Oh hey, I fail at reading and understanding, sorry about that.

I miss having a pet, I had a cat, but I was a very bad owner and couldn't give her the care she needed so I had to give her up but thankfully a friend gave her a good home.

I am a total cat person, but I am slowly warming up to dogs, which is a good thing since the Fiance is a dog person and if I want to live with her I need to live with her Cairn Terrier as well :)

I love dogs, although not as much. I've had at least one cat my whole life with the exception of like a year when I was 14 and my mother gave my cats away. We have WAY too many cats to have a dog now, no matter how much we might want one. Five cats in the basement and one in the bedroom, plus a hamster and a guinea pig.

No, you didn't do anything wrong, I actually have two friends named Julie who both lost cats they'd had for YEARS recently. I mixed up the two.

Ok, Cool Deal :)

Also holy crap thats alot of animals in one house, not that I can throw a stone since at one point my parents house had 5 people, 6 cats, 2 fish and a guinea pig at one point.

I had a dog when I was very young, but from the age of 5 to 21/22 when I finally moved out basically for good I have had cats in my life and it is still always weird when there isn't a needy, loud, opinionated feline about

Also, not that I hate this at all, do you IM?

Only on the rare occasion. I haven't even reinstalled it on this computer yet LOL. I had a virus take out my laptop a few weeks ago, moved everything to the tower, and then the tower also died. My boyfriend's dad gave me the guts to make the tower a NEW BETTER FASTER MORE machine so I had to install everything a THIRD time. Bastards.

We have a big house, but are looking to get rid of one cat. The "middle child" of the basement cats is a really nasty bully to the other four so she'll be moving to a farm in Jacksonville soon to be a barn cat.

ALL of them are loud and opinionated except for Bruce who's really gay.

Not an issue, I tend to talk via gtalk more often than not since I am in here checking my personal email anyways.
and 3rd time I hope is the charm, but now you have a clean slate to work with to avoid virus death and make it more useful and faster running than before.

I almost forgot what it was like to have a decent sized house with even a little land, I have lived in apartments and rented rooms too long now, but living this close to Balto/DC makes the prices outrageous anyways. Soon though, there will be a house and more animals then you can shake a few sticks at.

Are you leaving Charm City ( ... )

I am moving to Philadelphia with my Fiance in July and I am scared witless, I have lived in or around the Baltmore metro area my entire life. I know we are going to be spending a year or two in apartements but the goal is to buy our own house depending on where she wants to end up. She needs to get her 10 years with the police force and assure her pension before we can move.

I have looked a bit at the FB pics of you (and If I can say so without sounding totally creepy, you are a rather fetching looking lady) but I will take a look at the house pictures, I will warn you, I have worked in construction related industries for the last 8 years so I can have some pretty strong opinions about things.

Except for the 6 months I rented a room when I was living/working in Dundalk, I have been lucky enough to have decent places to live but I know what you mean with the rocking place with the cheap rent, when you rent from your boss and have basically carte blanche with the place it is pretty awesome.

LOL hey, pick away! My parents are licensed GCs and my step-father is a Master Electrician. It's in my blood. So far here I've refinished the kitchen cabinets (as well as remving three and relocating them to my bathroom), painted the basement stairwell, painted the yoga room, painted two accent walls in the bedroom, and put down new hardwood (engineered click-lock) all by myself.

In Richmond I'd built a cabinet into the space under the basement stairs, competely redid the inside of my closet (that was actually one of my first ADIML posts on the main community, I'll get that link in a moment. My phone only has one browser window at a time), put in permenant installations for the window ac units, replaced many light fixtures, ran two new circuits, ran a second phone line, etc etc etc. Hell, in the house we rented while waiting to close here I installed the satellite dish LOL. I'm a very handy girl. I also paint, sculpt, and sew.

And no stalking felt :) I'm photogenic at times.

Flooring (everything but the fuzzy stuff) and Kitchens(I played at being a designer for a while) are my areas of expertise, but I am quickly learning with bathrooms, but your body of work sounds rather impressive, well at least to me.

I came from a very blue collar family, my Father was a truckdriver by trade and a do-it-yourselfer before the term came into fashion.

You are going to make some lucky guy a great (man)wife some day ;)
