I am a girl. Not a symbol. Not an object merely for your viewing and touching pleasures. I am infinity. I create, I destroy, I am reborn from the ashes. As with all other females, we give life. We take. We grieve, and we live our own life.
I am a sister. A sister to my friends who I have known so long, and to those who I have not known as long. A sister to nature. A sister to all things. A sister of the Universe. A sister of family.
I am a student. I learn everyday. I will not stop until I learn all I want and need to. Knowledge is the most fearsome weapon a person could have. I am a teacher. I talk - I listen. Either way, I teach and give advise when it is wanted.
I am a dragon. A spirit. A being. I don't need you to believe me, because I believe myself. Some myths are true. Some myths are lies. But who can say, because they are called myths, right?
I am a part of the Earth. A part of Gaia. Her daughter. Her child. I pay tribute to her each day. I recycle, I pick up trash when I see it, and I just feel the Earth giving life every second of every day.
I am both male and female. Not physically. Not mentally. We are all both male and female. Yin and Yang. The Good and Evil. The world couldn't exist with just one half of an entire soul.
I am myself. I take when something is given. I give when I feel I should. I look up to everyone, for even a newborn babe could teach you how to feel joy you have once forgotten.
I am you. I am human physically. You are human physically. There are so many differences, yet we are the same. You are white, I am asian. You speak French, when I speak Hangul. Your religion is Hinduism, while mine is Wicca. Your name is Steve. Mine is Tealayu. Why is the name so different, so queer? It does not matter, for we are the same. Every single being on this Earth is the same, an equal. The animals, the plants and trees...
We are gifted. We have freedom to petition against the government. We can vote when our age is right. We can smoke or drink even though we know it is not healthy. Freedom of choice. Which food is good for my daily routine? Who should be my friends? Who should I vote for? Should I go to work today? Should I drive? Should I have sex, now? Should I use a condom? Should I meet the person from the internet?
We don't know what it's like to have our freedom taken away. We are spoiled with rights. Once, the people could not make most of those choices. Someone else made it for them. Before you decide on whether to ditch school, or drink and drive - Think. We are the People of the Free World. But should we really make a choice that could harm others?
Who are you? It is obvious. You are me. I am you. We are one entity. We are one soul. We are one civilization to help when help is needed, to give where generosity is looked down on. Keep in mind when you're eating a full healthy dinner. Keep in mind when you see litter on a park bench. Because we are one - think.
