Things are not as planned. Please read!
Hi all. This is Galen-dp, Teal's SO.
Things have not gone as were planned. First, the surgery did not happen. Second, Teal is in the hospital.
Here is what has happened.
Yesterday morning Teal woke up about 4:30am throwing up and a fever and in massive pain. I got her into see her regular doctor at 10am. Diagnosis was stomach flu. The pain caused by the throwing up screwing up her back. Her pain was at a 10+ and blowing right through her medication. We were told to have her rest and get lots of fluids. Also given an anti-nausea drug.
I took her home and got the Rx filled. It didn't help that much, and her pain didn't go down at all (that I could tell).
At around 5pm she had a seizure of some kind. I called 911 and off to Rose Hospital ER she went. The ER got her stabilized and had her admitted. They were thinking the seizure was illness related.
I went home and collapsed (see later on).
I talked to her this morning and the supervising doctor from our clinic decided to have a MRI of her brain done today.
I take it from this that this doctor does not think it is illness related.
I was going to write this last night, but I crashed. The stress of dealing with this, and finding out (in the middle of all of this) that my mom had congestive hart failure earlier in the day (she is alive), has been too much. I collapsed when I got home. If not for K (Teals OSO) and aysosytreeo I would not be able to make it through this.
I'm going to take a shower now and go in to see Teal. I'll update when I get a chance.
