Deeper into the Rabbit Hole...

So I've decided to start painting again. In fact, I have a specific painting planned, and all I need is to go to Utrecht for some supplies, and find good space and time. Perhaps it will be a spring break project. One more project for spring break will be to work on cleaning and organizing my dilapidated and messy home. How far in that I'll get, we'll see.

I've also decided to appease my steampunk fetish by organizing something fun. Geekery and friends will be good for my soul. In addition, I'm reading again, actual books that I want to read and not just assignments for class. I've neglected reading far too long with the excuse of not enough time; now I will make time. My life is about me now, and I'm going to put myself in control as best I can.

The last thing, and this is kind of random... I've decided, for the hell of it, to participate in NaNoWriMo this year. Why? Well... While I'm no novelist and I have no desire to become a professional writer, I used to love writing back in my pre-college years. I had so many random short stories. What ever happened to that? I had fun then. My biggest problem then was that whenever I tried to tackle anything bigger, I got stuck. I hit a brick wall. I procrastinated. So nothing I ever started got finished. So, what the hell? Why not start a seemingly impossible task for myself, and see how far I can get? I have until November to mentally prepare myself. Anyone want to try tackling it with me? Writing buddies? :D
