i think the grey matter is more involved with cortical thinking than the white matter. i think that's what is commonly believed, i.e. "use your grey matter!" and i think that is true, from what i learned in neuro last year.

okay, you have much more background/knowledge of this than i, so i can see what you mean. i didn't know that there was grey matter and white matter, etc.
i didn't mean for this to freak you out. i'm sorry.
also, it was done with only 10 fibro women and 10 controls, which is a very small amount of people. and you know as well as i that the study could be corrupted in numerous ways.
what i think would be interesting to find out is whether the fibro women they "used" had any reported/unreported cognitive deficit symptoms, i.e. "fibro fog."

and who on earth were the subjects anyway?
i am sure there were confounding variables, etc.

also, i know that some people with fibro don't have brain fog, but the parts of the brain affected could be slightly different.
i'm not sure. but i do know that it does affect my thinking, but not all the time.
this is also just a summary of the full study report, i think.
