Hello LJ'ers - so what a fantastic way to spend my 50th birthday! I went to a fun trial at Hood River, Oregon (Portland agility Club) where Flyte debuted, hung out at Heather and Bruce's for the 4th (can anyone say cool people and PUPPPPPPIEEEESSSS!?!) and then did a great hike with Tammy, Rosie, Hi-Fi and Rumble. So, the low down, without much hoopla is.
1. Flyte was AWESOME! She actually started out about 4 clicks slower than she's been running lately so I was super happy (though I still gave late clues, geez...), and here she is.

This first run was really fun and she did great. She didn't go looking for gopher holes, and she stayed with me really well.
The second run was super fun because as she comes out of the tunnel, she just LIGHTS UP and goes, oh - I know THIS game! She actually growls over the bar that she dropped, and I just laughed. Such a fun girly.

So, all in all, super fun Flytie!
2. Teague was his wonderful fun self. We had good runs, and oh my god runs. The oh my god runs were because I would not support an out jump, or push early on a rear and he'd squirt off the jump. I have done that several times in the last few trials - uhhh, guess that is another thing to practice.
We had a fun standard run (came in behind Razor and Rosie!), though we are still struggling with our DW -he has been running them (without training, mind you) and I've been working working on rehabbing them. So now, in this last trial, he stopped short of the contacts and looked at me, for three seconds or so. But otherwise, what a great fun run. Nice....

We also had several other really fun runs. We had a great FAST run on Saturday, just rocked it and he was listening so well. Fun fun fun. A Q in JWW on Saturday that was not so pretty. Lots of late cues and slipping and sliding from Teague. The ground was slippery and hard, so I give Teague lots of credit for doing as well as he did.
Then, Sunday, the amazeballs hike with Tammy and Rosie that folks may have already heard about from their posts :), but really it was so GOOD for my soul. I now really know that spending my birthday hiking, or being in nature, (and/or doing art) is the way to go. I still am smiling thinking about it. Here is the video that maestro Tammy made:
