Things I didn't train...

Hahaha. So, I realized something with Flyte - she does not know how to jump over a jump to get a toy.

Maybe this seems really stupid, maybe this isn't something other people don't do, but I've always done it. Prior dogs have always known how to do obstacles and get a toy. Flyte hasn't a clue. Unless she is 3 feet in front of the jump and I'm VERY clear about jumping it, she will dart around the jump, go under the jump (my favorite), to go get that toy. I've always taught that as part of my trianing, but this time I did the Sylvia Trkman stuff and wow, this never came up. But as I work to teach her to "Go ON" wow, missed this skill.

And our teeter - heeheehee. I still have it about 1/3 height, and yesterday it was do the yellow on the upside, then jump off, run to the other end, then jump up on the yellow and get into 2o2o. What, do the middle? Stoopid middle. I don't think so.

But, we have now been over a full height DW, yeah puppy girl. And her running A-Frame is still looking pretty good.

Thank goodness we aren't actually doing standard yet :)

Another thing that is very true of Ms. Flyte - she is not a lot of repetition dog. Teague would happily do the same thing over and over, really, 50 times, full speed, HAPPY. Flyte, no way. She stops and goes off sniffing if I try too many reps. I got to keep her PUMPED up... such her own little girl.
