Wow, these New Year's just keep rolling in. People say it's only ONCE a year, but it sure feels like a lot more frequent than that.... weird.
Gina and I had a great walk on the beach thru sunset last night - with our two red and whites running up a storm. Such happy beasts. And we talked about this year - this last year. So much happened! It's easy to forget. These pictures are where we walk - though these photos aren't from yesterday - they are a couple of weeks ago. The light was fantastic and my iPhone did a lovely job of taking these photos. (Oh, and I think I've figured out how to get pictures TO my computer and now UP to LJ, so prepare for a photobomb).
We had a whole bunch of Flyte surgeries and recoveries. I mean, REALLY. I think we need to stop this. So, here's to a 2014 with NO surgeries. Along with that wa a lot of thinking about what it means to have a high drive busy BC with so little to do. What about agility? will it be in her cards? If not agility, what? This is not a lay around and be mellow girl... So, hopefully in 2014 we will have more of this figured out.
Teague and I got our first double Q! I know, for many that is not a big deal - for us, it's huge. (for some reason the picture I took of Teague, the two judges, myself and our QQ ribbon won't load, go figure :) But here is a picture of my major heart dog, just because he ROCKS.
We lost our most beloved Buddha dog, Skidder. She made it to her 15th birthday, and then, it was time to let her get to romping on another shore. We still love and miss her tremendously. We just got her ashes on Christmas Eve and I just burst into tears. Miss my girl who got me started in agility, taught me so much, and gave such great love.
I gathered about 670 responses to my agility survey! That is awesome, now if i can get time to get it all analyzed and get to my favorite part - INTERVIEWS! I LOVE talking with people about what they love - it's very cool.
My love and I had another year of LOVE. That is amazing, and wonderous and life sustaining. Some of the highlights of that were getting legally married July 31st after 24 years together :)
I threw Gina what she says was the best birthday she ever had - her fiftieth! We had a fabulous weekend over in Ashland, OR and spent great time with Dawn and Michael. And here she is playing the electric guitar I got her :) - oh my girl is a rocker!
And, I got a tattoo I've been waiting years to get. - You've all seen that recently, but here it is again.
So, for 2014 - I want to keep living a life with Love, Fun, Friendship, Integrity, PLAY (which includes dogs), Hiking, Painting, Reading, Dancing, - well actually each of these things includes dogs, - they are so engrained in my life.
I Have more things for 2014, but I will wait since this post has gotten seriously long already. Best to you all. Peace, Love and lots of Laughter
