I have a secret. I have been using this product, L'Occitane's Olive Harvest Radiance Moisturizing Cream. It is better than anything I've ever tried before, it leaves the skin feeling like BUTTER and glowing like I'm all sorts of knocked up and happy.

Basically, I clean my face with Cetaphil, no toner, a drug store lotion with SPF, and at night slapped on that miracle cream. I had very little break outs, and marvelous glowing skin. It was glorious.

I don't remember how it started. I think I received a sample with purchase or something. All I know was that for close to three months, I kept going to Sephora and getting more samples because I was amazed at how moist and dewy the lotion left my skin. At the time, the 1.7 oz. jar was $28, but I was still hesitant. I thought the price tag was pretty darned steep for the amount they were selling, and I wasn't willing to shell out that much for face lotion. In the end, I did it because I was so happy at my newfound supple my skin.

I was willing to shell out $28 for face lotion folks. I thought it was reasonable. I thought I could make it work and that me and L'Occitane would have a long, healthy relationship.

But that relationship became abusive.

The price stayed around $28 for a while, but around Christmas of last year, I walked into L'Occitane and found that a jar of that moisturizer went up from $28 to $32. I tried to find a cheaper price elsewhere, but finding no alternative, still bought it for $32. Then by the time my fifth jar ran out, I was looking at shelling out $36 for a replacement.

Thirty-six effing dollars.

Are you kidding me?

No. This is where I draw the line. This may be the holy grail of all moisturizers for me, but the train stops here. No more. I'm not going to have to budget this in to my fixed expenses.

I'm moving on, baby. I'm moving on.
