Poppy Pomfrey
I just finished the "Order of the Phoenix" and I have to say I'm so glad I decided to start reading the HP series. My head is swimming though, I've read five books in five weeks. My dreams the last few days have been filled with HP world and I think it's probably a much different experience reading them all at once, back to back to back, than spanning them over several years. I think it has it's advantages and disadvantages. Pros: Everything is fresh in my mind, and it's interesting to see how the series progress and how dark it gets from the fourth book on. Cons: I've already seen all five movies, so most everything that has happened so far hasn't been a huge shocker or surprise, (and I LOVE surprises!) It has been interesting to see, especially in the last two movies, how much they left out. I've gotten so much more back story and perspectives from the books, and realized things from them that weren't even clear to me from the movies.
I'm going to start the sixth book tonight and I'm really excited. Finally the time has come where there will be surprises. By some miracle I haven't heard what happens in the last two books. I can only hope in the next couple of weeks nobody else spills the beans.
P.S. I titled this entry with Poppy's name because I absolutely love her name, I think it is the cutest name in the series next to "Luna Lovegrove". I love the name "Bellatrix" too but she's evil so that stops me from really liking the name. I think I might name my next cat "Poppy Pomfrey" if it fits her well. Love it!
