So remember that time I had the best friends ever bc they got me an iPod...well guess what?! They just got even better.
So today during play practice, we were using the set, and the terrance doors right now do not have a step back-stage. So, Podany made a make-shift step that had already fallen apart when Caitlin tried to step on it, leading La to say "Saftey First," to which Liz threw caution to the wind and said "Screw that!" Because what happened?! O that's right, I said my lines with Joseph and steped off onto the backstage 'step,' as it feel apart and hit me in the shin. Ouch indeed.
But here's where it gets good. I wouldn't look at my leg bc it was indented but surprisingly the entire cast, La, and some techs made it over to me in lightning speed...thanks everyone! Anyway, I spent the rest of rehersal in a wheel chair, waiting for the wheels to fly off. I still can't weight-bare on it but hopefully it will be alright by tomorrow...hopefully, otherwise you all might see me in my PJs on Monday with a set of crutches!
But anyways back to my amazing friends. So around 6:30ish I get a call from Caitlin-Yellow telling me she heard from Ker what happened and wanted to make sure I was ok. Then we had this whole conversation about how chocolate could solve anything and that she would make cookies. I thought she was joking! She sounded like she was joking! But this was proven wrong because at 9:00, there are two very wet girls outside of my house with a plate of chocolate chip-oatmeal cookies. That's right, CAITLIN AND KERRI MADE ME COOKIES! YOUZ GUYS ARE THE BESTEST! Plus they were in my house for a good 30 minutes making me laugh because of how disoriented they were from that pint of blood they donated today.
So all in all, they rock! And not only did they save a combined 6 lives at the blood drive but a total of 6.5 lives today according to the two of them. (Yes, that's right, my leg is now half of my body!)
O and if you want to read about my Holy Cross Trip...keep reading...
So I did an overnight on Wednesday at the Cross and almost was in the same room as Laurie! But we saw eachother at dinner. Anyway, I was with my host Katie and her roommate Lisa, both very nice. We hung out, went to dinner, I met the boys soccer team and hung out with them and then the girls across the hall in Clark for "Feel Good Movie Night" (It was 10 things I hate about you) <-20 girls and Garrett (a soccer player), not too shaby. Saw MADE, bc it was in the town next to the town Katie and Lisa were from, hung out with the soccer team some more and slept for a bit. Thursday: breakfast, Katie napping/me on aim/Lisa at class, followed by pysch (which was amazing!!!!!! and the professor said something that was perfect for my lit paper so I wrote that down and then ended up writing 4 pages of notes for a class I don't even take, then went to calc where I'm pretty sure I fell asleep on Dre's shoulder (another soccer players) Then went to lower Kimball for lunch with Katie, Lisa, Dre, Keith, Felipe, etc (<-Boys soccer players plus others) and then made a stop at Sturbridge Village on the way home.
So I'd have to say the last few days, even with the pain in my left leg, have been pretty great!
Thanks again Ladies!
