After watching an entire season, I would have thought this response would be long over, but no. Watching Will make sadfaces in the first five minutes of the second season of The Good Wife, my automatic response is still, "Oh, Danny!" Will is nothing like Dan Rydell, but he does that little mouth twist and I am carried back to my Sports Night days. (Dan Rydell, there is very little I would not do for you.) In terms of The Good Wife, I am not feeling particularly fannish, but I have enjoyed it so far, and Kalinda and Alicia are the awesomest.
I haven't been watching all that much new TV this year, but I feel like I have a good thing going between Olivia Dunham, Kalinda and Alicia, and the stellar ladies of ASOIAF (of which I am on episode five). I don't know how many times this year I've been in a tough situation, with someone screaming and cursing at me, and imagined that I was an Awesome Female Heroine. Mostly Olivia, honestly. I believe very strongly in her ability to adapt to and become amazing in any situation.

This is a cool article about 190 Bowery, a six-story, 72-room single family home bought forty years ago by a photographer for a hundred thousand, now worth millions.
When I was little, I used to play this game where I bought a house, an old, battered, ramshackle, falling down house that everyone said was worthless, and discovered its secrets and found its hidden crevices (along with many a secret passage) and fixed it up until everyone was amazed. This article is a little like that, although sadly lacking in pictures. I love the character of a house like that.
