baby animals make me kind of crazy
So foxxcub linked to baby tiger pictures, and followed her link and just spent about an hour looking through pictures of baby animals. How are baby everythings so cute? It's kind of mind boggling.
I'm reminded of these books I used to read when I was seven - I can't even remember what the series was, only that it featured baby animal protagonists, so there was a book from the perspective of a baby bear (who at one point got chased by a hive of bees, that's really all I can remember), and one from a puppy and one from a piglet. I don't remember the rest (my best friend had them all, I used to borrow them from her bookshelf), but now I want so much fic where bandom are baby animals. I feel like I've said this before, but seriously, bandom + baby animals!
Or a Milo and Otis AU! Although I can't decide who should be Milo and Otis. Ryan and Spencer could work, because they have the friendship from an early age, and then Ryan gets swept down the river and Spencer has to chase after him - and BATTLE BEARS FOR HIM - only once they're back together Ryan meets Jon!kitty and Spencer is left sad and alone until he meets Brendon!dog, and then they make winter houses and meet each other while hunting for fish in the harsh winter! Um.
Or (I've been thinking about this topic a while, can you tell?) Redwall! I haven't read Redwall in years, but I loved it growing up. Attacks from vermin! The search for the sword of Martin the Warrior! And then you get three of my favorite things all in one, bandom + adorable animals + quest. Can there be any bad there? I think not!
